Summary: Conducting polymers based hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) nanocomposites, including polyaniline (PANI)/h-BN and polyaniline-polypyrrole (PANI-PPy)/h-BN, were successfully fabricated using a chemical oxidative polymerization approach. The synthesized materials exhibited desirable properties such as improved thermal stability and irregular morphological structures. The PANI/h-BN nanocomposites showed the highest capacitance and capacitance retention after multiple cycles compared to other materials. Furthermore, a hybrid asymmetric supercapacitor device composed of PANI/h-BN as the positive electrode and activated carbon (AC) as the negative electrode demonstrated superior performance in terms of specific capacitance, power density, and LED lighting time.

Summary: The organic-inorganic polyaniline (PANI)/ZnO nanocomposite was synthesized with different weight percentages of ZnO, and the PANI/ZnO (10 wt%) composition showed excellent conductivity and maximum photocatalytic activity for the degradation of methylene blue under natural sunlight. The synergistic interaction between PANI and ZnO, as well as high photogenerated charge carrier separation, are believed to contribute to the superior performance of PANI/ZnO (10 wt%) nanocomposites.

Summary: A facile ternary nanocomposite, PANI-TiO2-PPy, was synthesized as an active electrode material for supercapacitor applications. The nanocomposite exhibited a specific capacitance of 600 F g(-1) in 1 M KOH electrolyte, higher than the individual PANI, PPy, and TiO2 electrodes. The ternary electrode showed superior capacitive behavior in alkaline electrolyte and demonstrated improved energy storage capacity.

Summary: A polyaniline/zirconia (PANI/ZrO2) composite was synthesized using an in situ method with HCl as a doping agent, SDBS as a surfactant, and APS as an oxidant. The electrical properties of PANI/ZrO2 were significantly affected by the filler phase, as observed through impedance, dielectric constant, dielectric losses, and electrical conductivity measurements. The amount and types of ZrO2 filler also influenced the morphology and structure of the composite.

Summary: Conductive and optically tunable PANI/CoFe2O4 NPs nanocomposite films were successfully prepared by potentiostatic electrochemical polymerization. The addition of CoFe2O4 NPs improved the crystallinity and conductivity of the films, and magnetic hysteresis was observed. These results indicate the potential applications of these nanocomposite films.

Summary: The use of DNA-CTMA as the electron blocking layer and hole buffer layer can significantly improve the photoelectric performance of DNA-based BioLEDs. As the thickness of DNA-CTMA increases, the exciton recombination region moves towards the interface between the emitting layer and the hole transport layer, further enhancing the efficiency of BioLEDs.

Summary: Perovskite solar cells, as a promising technology for low-cost and high-efficiency photovoltaics, face challenges in stability and nonradiative losses. This study demonstrates that replacing part of the iodide in formamidinium lead iodide (FAPbI(3)) with pseudohalide anions can suppress nonradiative charge recombination, leading to increased charge carrier lifetime.
