Summary: The construction of a systemically applicable beta-Gal-loaded ternary complex through sequential self-assembly in aqueous solution was reported. The complex protected the loaded beta-Gal from degradation and exhibited enhanced and selective enzymatic activity at the tumor site. This novel approach may offer a new strategy for enzyme-prodrug theragnosis.

Summary: This paper reports the synthesis and characterization of amphiphilic polyethylene-block-poly(L-lysine) (PE-b-PLL) block copolymers, which self-assembled into spherical micelles with a hydrophobic PE core in aqueous solution. The pH and ionic responsivities of the polymeric micelles were investigated, and it was found that the conformational alteration of PLL from alpha-helix to coil changed the micelle dimensions.

Summary: In this study, block copolymer micelles composed of renewable fatty-acid-based hydrophobic block and thermoresponsive hydrophilic block were synthesized and characterized for controlled drug delivery. The self-assembly of block copolymers with variable hydrophobic block length formed spherical nanoparticles with low critical micelle concentration in aqueous media. The in vitro drug release tests showed temperature-triggered response and accelerated drug release at 37 degrees C.

Summary: In this study, a luminescent network polymer was successfully demonstrated through a H-bond cross-linking strategy. The network structure formation was confirmed through a combination of FTIR, NMR, XRD, and viscosity analyses. Additionally, the network polymer showed potential for fluorometric detection of alkylating agents at low concentrations and differentiation between alkyl iodides and aromatic iodides.

Summary: RNA interference (RNAi)-based strategies using double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) as a species-specific bio-insecticide provide a promising solution for controlling damaging pest infestations. However, the lack of RNAi in certain species when dsRNA is orally administered hinders its effectiveness. In this study, researchers demonstrated the complexation of D. suzukii-specific dsRNA with bespoke diblock copolymers, leading to improved protection and cellular uptake.

Summary: This study describes a new family of nanoadjuvants based on low-molecular-weight Pluronic(R) P123 pentablock copolymers, which exhibit high biocompatibility and enhanced adjuvanticity at lower doses. Animal experiments demonstrate that these nanovaccines can induce high antibody titers, even when used at significantly reduced doses compared to Pluronic(R) F127-based pentablock copolymers.
