Summary: The study evaluated the efficacy of PDO threads in facial rejuvenation, showing that PDO threads are effective in aged skin rejuvenation, soft tissue retraction, and support with fewer complications. The combination of different types of PDO threads may produce slightly better results than using a single type alone.

Summary: Aesthetic plastic surgery is a subspecialty driven by patient desires, requiring a balance between objective medical standards and subjective beauty evaluation. The subjectivity of facial beauty and surgical outcomes highlights the importance of assessing patient satisfaction, yet the lack of standardized measurements and clear definitions of beauty remain obstacles in improving consultation dynamics. Recognition of science and evidence-based medicine is crucial in meeting the increasing demand for facial aesthetic procedures.

Summary: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has gained popularity in the field of cutaneous rejuvenation, but standardized literature evaluating its efficacy and best practices is lacking. Existing high-quality evidence suggests subtle to modest clinical improvement with PRP for facial rejuvenation, although conflicting results are seen in many studies. Further high-quality research with well-defined methodologies is needed to better understand the role of PRP.

Summary: This study developed the Aesthetic Quality Model, which proposes that beauty judgments are determined by the interaction between visual complexity and randomness. The findings support the model's hypothesis that patterns with high complexity and low randomness are perceived as more beautiful. The study also suggests quality attribution as a potential mechanism underlying beauty judgments.

Summary: In this paper, a new method called aesthetic enhanced perception generative adversarial network (AEP-GAN) is proposed to address the task of facial aesthetics enhancement. This method includes three modules: aesthetic deformation perception (ADP), aesthetic synthesis and removal (ASR), and dual-agent aesthetic identification (DAI). To prevent over-beautification, a real-world facial wedding photography dataset is constructed. Experimental results show that the AEP-GAN effectively solves the over-beautification problem and achieves excellent results.

Summary: This article proposes a theoretical taxonomy of factors influencing the aesthetic appeal of mobile phone photographs, addressing both basic image characteristics and factors involved in deeper aesthetic appreciation. The article also discusses the different types of picture genres commonly taken and the various goals, uses, and contextual aspects of mobile phone photography users. The article suggests that users make two main decisions when assessing mobile phone photographs and highlights the need for further research on content, framing, culture, and personality in the perception of photographs.

Summary: This study identified predictors for patients' readiness to receive non-surgical facial aesthetic treatments in Singapore, with factors such as age, race/ethnicity, gender, prior treatment, and attitudes and motivation for seeking treatment playing a role. The majority of patients who sought consultation proceeded with treatment, with a high frequency of rejuvenation rather than correction as the clinical outcome goal. Differences were observed between Caucasian and Chinese patients, with Chinese patients tending to be younger and seeking more obvious changes.
