Summary: Several mechanisms are involved in the infertility caused by endometriosis. For patients considering surgery, the risk of iatrogenic injury is a crucial factor in preserving fertility. Excision of endometriomas significantly reduces ovarian reserve, with a decrease of up to 30% for unilateral and up to 44% for bilateral cases. Surgical interventions should use fertility-conserving methods to minimize postoperative iatrogenic diminished ovarian reserve.

Summary: This study conducted a scoping review of the global assisted reproductive technologies (ART) market, identifying the main terms and categorizing them into different topics. The findings highlight the complexity of the market, with strong associations with economic, social, and geographic aspects. The study also emphasizes the need for further analysis of market elements related to technical improvements to enhance the success rate of in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Summary: During the pandemic, assisted reproductive treatments were disrupted, leading to increased anxiety levels in women whose treatments were suspended or delayed. Age pressure and worry were associated with higher levels of anxiety. Discontinuation of fertility treatments commonly resulted in feelings of sadness and anxiety.

Summary: A systematic review found no significant association between COVID-19 vaccination and assisted reproductive techniques. Studies showed no differences in fertility treatment response, embryo quality, implantation rates, or pregnancy outcomes between vaccinated and unvaccinated patients. Therefore, COVID-19 vaccination is recommended for patients undergoing assisted reproductive techniques.

Summary: Infertility in women with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis may be addressed through assisted reproductive technology (ART), with pregnancy and live birth rates similar to the general population. However, efficacy of ART may be reduced in patients with CD-related surgery and IPAA failure.

Summary: Add-on procedures in fertility clinics are promoted as means to improve IVF success rates, but their actual contribution to live birth rates remains inconclusive. The accuracy and quality of information provided on these procedures on IVF clinics' websites are lacking, raising concerns about potential commercial bias and misinformation among infertile patients.

Summary: Endometriosis is an independent risk factor for maternal and child morbidities, while assisted reproductive technology (ART) not only increases the risks associated with endometriosis but also further raises the risks of maternal and perinatal morbidities.

Summary: This study evaluated the accuracy of the home-based fertility monitor, Inito Fertility Monitor (IFM), in measuring urinary hormones and identified novel hormone trends in natural menstrual cycles. The IFM showed accurate recovery percentage and high correlation with ELISA in measuring E3G, PdG, and LH. It also introduced a novel criterion for earlier confirmation of ovulation and identified a new hormone trend associated with most menstrual cycles.

Summary: The study aims to evaluate the reproductive outcomes of male cancer survivors who underwent sperm freezing and assess the oncofertility counseling they received. The results show that a significant number of survivors attempted to conceive and achieved natural pregnancy, while others used their cryopreserved samples. Most survivors believed that the timing of oncofertility referrals was appropriate and considered fertility preservation important.

Summary: The study found that the parenthood rates of HL survivors who have not experienced relapse were similar to the general population, but the use of assisted reproductive techniques was more common among HL survivors. For male HL survivors, BEACOPP therapy was associated with lower parenthood rates. However, there were no significant differences in newborn health outcomes between HL survivors and comparators.

However, compared to laparotomy, vaginal access can reduce postoperative morbidity and avoid potential cancer spread associated with laparoscopy.

Summary: This study compared the outcomes of robotic-assisted and conventional laparoscopic surgeries for colorectal endometriosis. The results showed that robotic surgery had lower intraoperative complication rate and higher rate of healthy margins in discoid and segmental resections. However, there were no significant differences between the two surgical approaches in complications, blood loss, re-hospitalization, and surgical revision for other colorectal procedures.

Summary: The objective of this study was to assess the influence of the test-to-delivery interval on the performance of ultrasound and MRI in predicting birthweight. The results showed that MRI performed best in predicting birthweight greater than gestational age if delivery occurred within two weeks of the examination, with a slight decrease thereafter, while ultrasound performance decreased drastically over time.

Summary: This retrospective cohort study aimed to evaluate whether induction of labor is associated with a lower risk of cesarean section in patients with isolated polyhydramnios. The study found that planned induction was associated with a lower rate of cesarean delivery compared to expectant management, but the difference was not statistically significant. Additionally, no differences were observed in maternal or fetal secondary outcomes.

Summary: This systematic review examined the comorbidity of idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and their impact on metabolism, hormone levels, and reproduction. The findings showed a high prevalence of comorbidity between the two conditions, which may have significant clinical implications for patient management.
