Summary: This study evaluated the perspectives of the Malaysian media community, persons with lived experience of suicidal behavior, and mental health professionals on safe suicide-related reporting. It found that most participants viewed current reporting as unsafe due to lack of awareness and guidance. While safe reporting had positive impacts like raising awareness, challenges included balancing beneficial versus harmful details, social media ubiquity, and establishing effective surveillance mechanisms.

Summary: The study found that collectives facing real or perceived threats from outgroups tend to concentrate around a few group members, and politically extreme groups are more likely to focus on a few high-profile members in their network structures. By reconstructing networks of commenters on high-profile U.S. political news websites, the study provides extensive real-world evidence that groups facing outgroup threats and displaying political extremism are more likely to pay attention to a few prominent members. These findings test theoretical accounts of collective adaptation to outgroup threats in a large-scale real-world setting.

Summary: This study implemented an online chat-based focus group discussion with men who have sex with men in China and evaluated its advantages, limitations, and feasibility in deepening community participation in STI research. The study found that online FGDs allowed for bidirectional communication and increased participant engagement. Many participants found online FGDs to be more convenient, less socially awkward, and more anonymous than in-person research.

Summary: This study explores stakeholder influences on residential photovoltaic adoption, finding that individuals closest in emotional and spatial proximity within the social network have a significant influence on decision-making, and decision-makers with higher levels of knowledge are more likely to progress to the next stage. The shift from passive exposure to proactive search during the decision-making process is less pronounced among risk-averse decision-makers requesting proactive influences. Public stakeholders have a responsibility in achieving climate goals by providing advice, assistance, and financing for low-carbon technology adoption at the local level.

Summary: Investigating wastewater management matters: in many OECD countries, the conventional centralized system is reaching its limits. Alternative decentralized options exist. Citizen participation is challenging because they are numerous and need to learn about the topic and construct their opinion. To include citizens, an innovative online survey based on Multi-Attribute Value Theory (MAVT) is proposed. The survey helped citizens understand the complex decision and construct their preferences. The study provides insights for wastewater management and evaluates the effectiveness of the survey method.

Summary: This paper reflects on the ethics of research and knowledge co-production in addressing urban inequality, using a lens of feminist care ethics. It examines ethical challenges deriving from power asymmetry and inequality in research partnerships and focuses on dilemmas emerging during the planning stage of a research project in Tanzania conducted in collaboration between an NGO and a university. The authors argue for the importance of contextualizing knowledge co-production in generating transformation while addressing the immediate needs of marginalized research participants.

Summary: This large-scale international study on Functional Neurological Disorders (FND) patient experiences highlighted that FND patients typically have high levels of multiple symptom comorbidities and distress. The study also supported the clinical significance of associated physical symptoms in FND patients, and most respondents preferred to conceptualize the disorder as one at the interface of mind and brain. The need for a broad approach to this poorly served patient group was emphasized.

Summary: Students believe that parents are still important influencers for healthy choices, but they are increasingly making snack choices independently based on attractiveness, availability, and cost. Choices to engage in physical activity depend on social aspects and opportunities in the physical environment. Students desire a more active role in the healthy school community but require facilitation to do so.
