Summary: This article discusses whether robots possess certain capacities, states, or properties, and how we can determine if they genuinely have them or if we are being deceived. Danaher proposes his approach to superficial state deception (SSD) based on his theory of ethical behaviourism (EB) to determine the moral status of robots. However, I argue that Danaher's approach is implausible as it fails to conceptualize SSD and does not enable determining its occurrence in specific cases. I also suggest an alternative method for determining the presence of SSD that encompasses diverse and plausible approaches.

Summary: Should nonprejudiced reproducers genetically select embryos for light skin under background conditions of racism and colourism, given that darker skin will be disadvantageous for their child? Many intuit that there are strong moral reasons not to select light skin in these contexts. Instead, the author argues for a new principle called Procreative Justice, which states that reproducers have strong moral reasons to avoid completing race and colour injustices through their selection choices.

Summary: This study investigated people's moral judgments and trait perception regarding a healthcare agent's response to a patient who refuses medication. The study manipulated variables including the type of healthcare agent (human vs. robot), health message framing, and ethical decision to examine their effects on moral judgments and traits perception. The results showed that moral acceptance was higher when the agents respected autonomy, and moral responsibility and perceived warmth were higher for human agents. Agents who prioritized beneficence/nonmaleficence and framed health gains were also perceived as more trustworthy. These findings contribute to understanding moral judgments in healthcare mediated by both human and artificial agents.

Summary: This paper discusses the moral standing of autonomous and intelligent personal social robots, proposing four arguments for giving indirect moral standing to robots under specific conditions and using the analogy of the Kantian dog for reasoning. It also explores the implications of this approach for the moral standing of animals and humans, drawing inspiration from Levinas and Dewey to discuss the challenges raised by this approach.

Summary: Some authors have suggested considering rights for robots based on a new way of thinking about the issue. While these suggestions are ultimately deemed unmotivated, the discussion highlights problems in our understanding of the moral status of others and the importance of taking human tendency to empathize with things lacking moral status seriously.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the principle of beneficence in nursing care and its related challenges. After reviewing and evaluating the qualified articles, the findings were classified into four main categories: nature, applicability, relevant and influential factors, and challenges related to the ethical principle of beneficence in nursing care. The results suggest that clarifying the principle of beneficence in nursing care can provide positive outcomes and promote the well-being and health of patients.

Summary: The paper presents and defends ethical Mooreanism, arguing that some moral propositions are Moorean propositions and thus have superior epistemic status. By highlighting the epistemic parallels between certain moral truths and standard Moorean facts, the author supports ethical Mooreanism and counters objections that question its validity.

Summary: The aim of this study was to explore the status of nurses' ethical behaviours in clinical practice and the factors contributing to nurses' unethical behaviours. The analysis revealed that the current situation of ethical nursing behaviour is not optimistic, with many unethical behaviours still present in clinical work. Lack of awareness, inappropriate communication, and lack of moral emotion were identified as some of the causes of unethical behaviours. Nursing managers can improve ethical behaviour by strengthening nurses' ethics studies, enhancing their professional identity and social status, optimizing the allocation of nursing human resources, creating a good ethical climate, and improving relevant rules and regulations.

Summary: Ethical decision-making involves complex processes influenced by factors such as moral judgment, moral responsibility, and mindfulness. This study found that mindfulness predicts moral responsibility, while moral judgment predicts moral intent. The results offer insights into the relationships between these factors and suggest avenues for further research in ethical decision-making.

Summary: When making consumption choices, people often fail to meet their own standards of both ethics and frugality. Little is known about how different types of hypocrisy interact, particularly in relation to attitudes towards ethical consumption. In three experiments, it was found that people generally expect others to spend less on consumer items than they actually do, but this expectation can be reversed when the ethical context of consumption is made salient. The study also showed that different price anchors have varying effects on expected standards for others and personal behavior.
