Primordial black holes (PBHs) with a mass M less than or similar to 10(17) g are expected to inject sub-GeV electrons and positrons in the Galaxy via Hawking radiation. These cosmic rays are shielded by the solar magnetic field for Earth-bound detectors, but not for Voyager 1, which is now beyond the heliopause. We use its data to constrain the fraction of PBHs to the dark matter in the Galaxy, finding that PBHs with M < 10(16) g cannot contribute more than 0.1% (or less for a log-normal mass distribution). Our limits are based on local Galactic measurements and are thus complementary to those derived from cosmological observations.

New minimal, median, and maximal propagation models for dark matter searches with Galactic cosmic rays

Yoann Genolini, Mathieu Boudaud, Marco Cirelli, Laurent Derome, Julien Lavalle, David Maurin, Pierre Salati, Nathanael Weinrich

Summary: Galactic charged cosmic rays are powerful tools for investigating dark matter, but the constraints are subject to uncertainties related to Galactic transport models. Updating the MIN-MED-MAX benchmark transport parameters has reduced uncertainties and provided fitting formulas for background flux predictions. Full details of model parameters and covariance matrices are also provided for more refined analyses.

INTEGRAL x-ray constraints on sub-GeV dark matter

Marco Cirelli, Nicolao Fornengo, Bradley J. Kavanagh, Elena Pinetti

Summary: This study examines the potential of light dark matter with mass between 1 MeV and 1 GeV, comparing lower-energy x-ray data from the INTEGRAL telescope with predicted dark matter flux to derive competitive bounds. It includes the contribution from inverse Compton scattering on galactic radiation fields and the cosmic microwave background, leading to stronger constraints for dark matter masses above 20 MeV than previous studies.
