Summary: A large body of knowledge about magnetism is obtained from models of interacting spins on magnetic ions. However, proposals beyond the ionic picture are rare and rarely verified. In this study, using inelastic neutron scattering, it is found that the fundamental magnetic units in the near-ferromagnet MnSi are extended molecular orbitals consisting of three Mn atoms, contrasting the ionic picture. This discovery provides important insights into both MnSi and a broad range of magnetic quantum materials.

Summary: The low-temperature spin dynamics of the orthorhombic TbFeO3 perovskite has been studied. It has been found that the iron subsystem exhibits antiferromagnetic order at 632 K and shows high-energy magnon dispersion. The behavior of the magnetic correlation length of the terbium subsystem has been determined through studying diffuse scattering at different temperatures.

Summary: This study investigates the evolution from gas-phase oxidation to nanoparticle and agglomerate formation in nanosecond laser-produced plasmas of a multi-principal element alloy target. The results highlight the importance of the target composition in the formation of gas-phase molecules, as well as the morphology, composition, and structure of nanoparticles and agglomerates formed.

Summary: Aspect-oriented software development is a programming paradigm that supports modularization of crosscutting concerns. This paradigm introduces aspects, which can make program structure difficult to understand, especially during maintenance. To address this issue, a visualization approach called AspectCity is proposed, using a city transportation system metaphor. AspectCity facilitates understanding of aspect-oriented programs and can potentially be extended to visualize software with complex component relations.

Summary: The study found that the motion of a spin excitation in materials with nontrivial magnetic order is deflected, similar to the effect of the Lorentz force on a charged particle in an orbital magnetic field. By using neutron scattering, researchers investigated the propagation of magnons in a lattice of skyrmion tubes in manganese silicide and discovered a topological magnon band structure in reciprocal space.

Summary: In software development, the combination of traceability recovery methods was implemented to help developers overview links inferred by various recovery techniques. The visualization model presented herein effectively supported browsing, comprehension, and maintenance of Test-to-Code Traceability (TCT) links, with visualization of TCT links from multiple sources proving better than a single source.

Summary: Current software-development tools make it difficult to understand the test execution of software, both for granular tasks (e.g., identifying test cases for a specific method) and global tasks (e.g., determining the proportion of unit tests to system tests). Existing tools lack global overview and historical information. This paper proposes a novel, interactive, matrix-based visual interface to address these challenges and provides a user study and case studies to demonstrate its effectiveness.

Summary: The magnetic structure and anisotropy of the quasi-one-dimensional S = 12 antiferromagnet Na2CuSO4Cl2 were studied, revealing the formation of a Néel-type spin structure. The anisotropy can be attributed to symmetric anisotropic exchange interaction and/or magnetic dipole interaction, which counteract the effect of the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction and stabilize the Néel-type structure in Na2CuSO4Cl2.

Summary: This article introduces a critical step in determining and explaining the presence of a gap at a magnon crossing point to characterize the topological properties of a material. Through neutron scattering measurements of CrCl3, the study finds that the scattering intensity near the crossing point is highly sensitive to experimental conditions, affecting the apparent topological gap size. The study provides an explanation for discrepancies between spectroscopic and first-principles estimates of gap sizes and offers guidelines for accurately measuring topological magnon gaps.

Summary: This study determines the true structure of two hybrid lead-halide perovskites using single-crystal diffuse scattering, neutron inelastic spectroscopy, and molecular dynamics simulations. The research reveals a remarkable collective dynamics that induces longer-range intermolecular correlations and may increase charge carrier lifetimes and affect halide migration.
