In this report, we employed surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerisation to graft thermo-responsive copolymers of oligo(ethylene glycol) methacrylates fromthe surface of diatombiosilicamicrocapsules. We demonstrate the application of the resulting composites for thermoresponsive drug delivery.
