Summary: By utilizing the size effect of mechanical properties at the nanoscale and rational structural design, topological design of Cu50Zr50 tetrachiral nanostructured metallic glasses (CNMGs) is proposed. Molecular dynamics simulations of uniaxial tension show that the tetrachiral structure can be used to design nanostructured metallic glasses (MGs) with improved elastic limit, excellent auxeticity, and enhanced ductility. CNMGs with large cavity radii exhibit a superior combination of high strength, remarkable ductility, and lightweight, which is different from traditional nanoporous materials.

Summary: The study investigates the impact of Ni content on Fe-based bulk metallic glasses, finding that moderate Ni addition can enhance glass forming ability and soft magnetic properties, while excessive Ni leads to performance deterioration. This research highlights the potential of current Fe-based BMGs for both structural and magnetic functional applications.

Summary: This paper explores the relationship between environmental innovations, geographic spillovers, and economic and environmental performance. Using data from the OECD database for Europe, Japan, and USA from 2005 to 2017, the paper analyzes the correlation between patents in environmental technologies, geographic spillovers, and GDP. The empirical analysis shows a positive relationship between innovation processes in environmental technologies, geographic spillovers, and GDP. The results also reveal an N-shaped Environmental Kuznets Curve, where the direction of the relationship between CO2 emissions and economic performance depends on a country's level of economic development. These findings have important implications for "green growth" policies.

Summary: In recent years, silicon photodetectors have been widely used but have low response in the ultraviolet region. This study successfully fabricated perovskite nanocrystal glasses with high transmittance and improved detection performance in the UV region. By adjusting the concentration of CsPbCl2Br1 nanocrystals and introducing Tb3+ ions, energy transfer was achieved and the photoluminescence quantum yield was significantly boosted. Integrating the fabricated perovskite nanocrystal glasses with silicon photodetectors enhanced their UV response and maintained excellent photocurrent stability. These perovskite nanocrystal glasses are expected to be optimal semiconductor materials for next-generation high-performance UV photodetectors.

Summary: This study integrates environmental management accounting (EMA) with environmental strategies and investigates the role of EMA in environmental performance. The results show that EMA mediates the effects of pollution prevention and clean technology strategies on environmental performance but not the effect of the process stewardship strategy. The findings suggest that companies should adopt specific environmental strategies to improve environmental performance through EMA and highlight the limitations in improving environmental performance.

Summary: Metallic glasses or amorphous alloys have potential for a range of electrocatalytic reactions in fuel cells, but the role of amorphous alloy chemistry in determining their catalytic activity is not well understood. In this study, the influence of alloy chemistry and electronic structure on the hydrogen oxidation reaction activity of Pt42.5-xPdxCu27Ni9.5P21 bulk metallic glasses was demonstrated. The results showed a volcano-shaped relationship between HOR activity and composition, with a peak at an equal proportion of Pt and Pd. Lower electron work function and higher binding energy of Pt explained the improved electrocatalytic activity in the mid-range composition. Density functional theory calculations also supported the synergistic effect of Pt and Pd in these BMGs.

Summary: Stable K isotope ratios can be accurately measured by CC-MC-ICP-MS, but trace-level Ca contaminants can compromise the accuracy. This study shows that using D2 as the reaction gas instead of H2 can significantly reduce the influence of Ca, improving the robustness of K isotope analysis. The method was successfully applied to the analysis of lunar samples.

Summary: Urban environmental legislation is an important institutional arrangement for promoting ecological civilization construction, and it has a significant impact on corporate environmental performance. This study clarifies the mechanism of how urban environmental legislation affects corporate environmental performance and provides empirical evidence that such legislation can effectively improve corporate environmental performance. The findings also suggest that the impact of urban environmental legislation is more significant for companies with strong debt financing ability, perfect internal governance structure, and low equity concentration. The mechanism test demonstrates that urban environmental legislation improves corporate environmental performance by increasing environmental investment and enhancing media and public attention.

Summary: This study demonstrates the use of mechanically alloyed high-entropy alloy powder as a catalyst for the degradation of malachite green. The high-entropy alloy exhibits good catalytic performance under visible light, surpassing the efficiency of Fe-0 powder. The presence of aluminum and manganese oxides or hydroxides promotes the adsorption and catalytic degradation of malachite green. The exfoliated nanoreactants and exposed fresh powder surface enhance the reusability and sustainability of the catalyst. The catalytic mechanism involves both chemical dye decomposition and physical dye adsorption.
