Summary: In this study, 400 patients with STEMI were analyzed to compare the 2-year clinical outcomes of BP-DES and DP-DES in PPCI. The results showed that BP-DES were associated with lower incidence of MACE and ST within 2 years of follow-up. Subgroup analysis revealed that BP-DES were also linked to lower cardiac deaths compared to DP-DES.

Summary: This study retrospectively analyzed consecutive STEMI patient cohort data and found that MINOCA patients had a higher risk of mortality compared to obstructive disease patients, while MINOCA mimickers had a similar risk of mortality to obstructive disease patients. Further research is needed to understand the pathophysiological mechanisms involved in this high-risk STEMI population.

Summary: Social behavior plays a significant role in the normal development and survival of individuals in vertebrate species. Behavioral neuroscience has developed different methods for studying social behavior. Ethological research has investigated social behavior in natural habitats, while comparative psychology has utilized standardized social behavioral tests. Recently, the development of advanced tracking tools and analysis packages has enabled a novel behavioral phenotyping method that combines the strengths of both approaches.

Summary: This meta-analysis aims to quantify the association between reduced coronary flow and all-cause mortality and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). The results show that abnormal coronary flow reserve (CFR) is associated with higher incidence of all-cause mortality and MACE. Each 0.1 unit reduction in CFR is associated with a proportional increase in mortality and MACE.

Summary: This study investigates the use of coronary artery calcium scoring (CACS) as a tool for coronary artery disease (CAD) risk stratification and its association with conventional cardiovascular risk factors. The results demonstrate a strong positive correlation between CACS and coronary artery stenosis, indicating the potential of CACS as a useful tool for CAD risk assessment.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the prevalence of spin in systematic reviews. By analyzing 185 systematic reviews, it was found that 31.9% of the abstracts contained some form of spin. Seven forms of spin were identified among the nine most severe types. The study did not find statistically significant associations between spin and the evaluated study characteristics or methodological quality.

Summary: Psychological resilience is a crucial factor for physical and behavioral health, which is explored in this special section of the article relating to health psychology. The focus of this section is on the application of resilience in the context of cardiovascular disease, neurological disorders, sleep disorders, and cancers. This special section contributes to the American Psychological Association's interdivisional journal series on resilience.

Summary: This study presents a new model, called the MPA model, for predicting coronary artery disease (CAD) with the aim of improving risk stratification for non-invasive diagnosis. The results showed that the MPA model had better accuracy in predicting CAD compared to traditional risk scores in a low- to intermediate-risk population.
