Summary: Rs28383172 and rs7775228 are suitable markers for identifying carriers of the HLA-DRB1*07:01-DQA1*02:01-DQB1*02:02 haplotype, with sensitivity and specificity values exceeding 95%. Patients with a genotype prone to hypersensitivity would benefit more from receiving less immunogenic PEGylated ASP treatment before hypersensitivity develops, incurring minimal additional cost.

Summary: Characterizing the expression profile of questionable HLA alleles is clinically relevant in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, as aberrant expression of these alleles can lead to complications. In this study, the HLA-DQB1*03:01:01:21Q allele was found to be nonexpressed due to a substitution at the donor splice site, resulting in premature mRNA degradation.
