The strains isolated from raw milk samples were identified using MALDI-TOF MS, and a total of 90 strains of Bacillus were identified, for which the antibiotic resistance phenotype was determined. The study provides data on the prevalence and antibiotic sensitivity of Bacillus sp. in raw milk, suggesting a potential risk to health and the dairy industry.

It is capable of growing between 0 and 10% NaCl concentration and encodes glycoside hydrolases that may be involved in the degradation of plant biomass in soil, as revealed by genome analysis.

Summary: The construction of overlapping genes is found to be less constrained than expected, with many constructed sequences indistinguishable from typical sequences in their protein family. Virus domains are actually less suitable for designing overlapping genes compared to bacterial or eukaryotic domains, contrary to previous beliefs. This study sheds light on the creation of overlapping genes and highlights the potential for synthetic biology in understanding genetic elements across different life forms.
