Animal Feed Science and Technology is a unique journal publishing scientific papers of international interest focusing on animal feeds and their feeding.
Papers describing research on feed for ruminants and non-ruminants, including poultry, horses, companion animals and aquatic animals, are welcome.
The journal covers the following areas:
Nutritive value of feeds (e.g., assessment, improvement)
Methods of conserving and processing feeds that affect their nutritional value
Agronomic and climatic factors influencing the nutritive value of feeds
Utilization of feeds and the improvement of such
Metabolic, production, reproduction and health responses, as well as potential environmental impacts, of diet inputs and feed technologies (e.g., feeds, feed additives, feed components, mycotoxins)
Mathematical models relating directly to animal-feed interactions
Analytical and experimental methods for feed evaluation
Environmental impacts of feed technologies in animal production.

It took half a year to receive, during which two reminder emails were sent and even a withdrawal email was written, but it is unknown whether the editor did not see it. The revision process went smoothly afterwards.
The revised version showed that there were two reviewers, but one of them had no comments, and the other reviewer's comments were not difficult.
Overall, if there is no rush, you can wait, after all, this journal is free of charge.
"Submitted at the beginning of February, accepted in August, three revisions - major, intermediate, and minor. The overall process may be slow due to the slow pace of expert review. It took almost three months to receive the review comments after submission. The review comments included opinions from three expert reviewers, all of which were very professional. After acceptance, the online process was fast. It took approximately one week for it to be made available online."
