Major revision: 222.2.28; The reviewer's comments came back in 16 days. There were four reviewers, two requested minor revisions, one requested major revisions, and one rejected the paper (I want to criticize this reviewer because their questions were either amateurish or already clearly addressed in the manuscript, indicating a lack of thorough review). The reviewer who requested major revisions was exceptionally professional and had previously reviewed journals of NA, EST, and WR levels. However, this reviewer is the most professional one I have ever encountered and made significant contributions to improving the article.
Revision submitted: 2022.3.12; The majority of the time was spent responding to the major reviewer's comments and conducting additional experiments. As for the reviewer who rejected the paper, I gave him a piece of my mind before addressing his comments: "Below, I only outline some major concerns." I have always believed that if a reviewer asks nonsensical questions and does not review the paper seriously, we should not indulge them. It's important to respond with valid arguments.
Minor revision: 2022.4.9; Three reviewers agreed to publish the paper. The reviewer who requested major revisions pointed out an error in the article. After consulting a significant amount of literature, I discovered that there was indeed a problem and promptly corrected it. I sincerely thanked the reviewer (truly heartfelt gratitude!).
Revision submitted: 2022.4.14.
Completed accept: 2022.4.16.
According to Web of Science, in 2022, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Tongji University, Nanjing University, Nankai University, Zhejiang University, and Sun Yat-sen University published 40, 30, 52, 39, 30, 39, 48, and 30 articles respectively in JHM. During the same period, they published 36, 24, 55, 67, 38, 16, 24, and 37 articles in Water Research. These numbers include co-authored articles. Considering the number of professors in the environmental field at these universities who can publish in these two journals, it is not likely that many people would have two publications in a year. It is more likely that some people have several publications, while others have none. Therefore, "Graphene111" being able to engage in discussions on JHM makes them outstanding among their peers.
