目标和范围
An aim of ELEX is rapid publication of original, peer-reviewed short papers that treat the field of modern electronics and electrical engineering. The boundaries of acceptable fields are not strictly delimited and they are flexibly varied to reflect trends of the fields. The scope of ELEX has mainly been focused on device and circuit technologies. Current appropriate topics include:

- Integrated optoelectronics (lasers and optoelectronic devices, silicon photonics, planar lightwave circuits, polymer optical circuits, etc.)
- Optical hardware (fiber optics, microwave photonics, optical interconnects, photonic signal processing, photonic integration and modules, optical sensing, etc.)
- Electromagnetic theory
- Microwave and millimeter-wave devices, circuits, and modules
- THz devices, circuits and modules
- Electron devices, circuits and modules (silicon, compound semiconductor, organic and novel materials)
- Integrated circuits (memory, logic, analog, RF, sensor)
- Power devices and circuits
- Micro- or nano-electromechanical systems
- Circuits and modules for storage
- Superconducting electronics
- Energy harvesting devices, circuits and modules
- Circuits and modules for electronic displays
- Circuits and modules for electronic instrumentation
- Devices, circuits and modules for IoT and biomedical applications

Translated text: Submitted an article. Currently, non-members can also submit to this journal, but they have to pay an additional fee of 20,000 yen.

On August 31, submitted the article. Nothing much happened in between. In the second week, I reminded them to review my manuscript. One reviewer and the assistant editor strictly rest on weekends.

On September 22, the article was rejected and resubmitted. The feedback was simple and easy to address. However, this journal only has two states, acceptance or rejection.

On October 3, resubmitted the article.

On October 17, the article was rejected and resubmitted again. In reality, the feedback was received on the 14th, but the editor was on vacation again. The reviewer requested the addition of a figure, which was relatively simple.

On October 25, resubmitted the article.

On October 28, the article was accepted. It seems that it was not sent to the reviewer, as the editor made the decision on their own.

There was a mandatory requirement to cite 30+ references. Overall, it was relatively easy and quick, but careful reading of the requirements on the website was necessary.

2022.12.19 Under 1st Review
2023.12.27 The 1st Review Reports have been completed
2023.12.28 Rejected (Editor's suggestion for resubmission)
The article does not have any significant issues, except for the unclear images of the test results and some language-related suggestions.

2023.1.08 Resubmitted after revision
2023.1.10 Reviewers are being selected
2023.2.13 Under 1st Review
2023.2.17 The 1st Review Reports have been completed
2023.2.21 Under 1st Evaluation
2023.24 The Final Evaluation Result has been mailed: Accepted

Waiting for the results can be really anxious. I heard that if the results are released immediately after the review, there is a higher chance of rejection, but if it takes a few days after the review, the chances of acceptance are higher due to multiple English reviews (not sure if it's true or not). In any case, I wish my next paper to be accepted! I also wish everyone's papers to be accepted!
