"Submitted for external review 10 days later, revised based on the feedback received after one month. After 3 months of further modifications, there were 3 rounds of revisions back and forth, and finally accepted, taking a total of half a year.
Summary: Our paper is about a neurodegenerative disease, using various animal models and in vitro experiments. The revisions required clinical translational evidence, which took several months. Clinical experiments were added to supplement the study, and it was finally accepted. Therefore, it is difficult to conduct pure basic research in the brain without clinical translational evidence. For this reason, the same paper was rejected by Science."
