Special issue submitted on 7.27. The first review was given on 8.6, with minor revisions. After submitting the revised manuscript on 8.9, it became "pending editor decision" on the same day. It was accepted directly on the morning of 8.13. The comments from the reviewers were really helpful, and I feel that they can improve the quality of the article. Just because it is under MDPI does not mean it is a low-quality journal. This journal does not have many domestic authors, and the self-citation rate is within a reasonable range. The overall experience of submitting to this journal was very good, and I suggest considering it as an option.

Posted on July 27th, it is now August 10th, and it is almost time. I hope for good results. This journal received its first impact factor last year, and the second one this year, so it was at a disadvantage in the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) rankings last year. It should improve this year. It is important to know that in the field of analytical chemistry, a journal in the first quartile (Q1) has an impact factor of only about 6. Therefore, this journal is in the second quartile (Q2) in the basic edition category, and its future development will not be lacking.
