目标和范围
Sensors & Actuators, B: Chemical is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to publishing research and development in the field of chemical sensors and biosensors, chemical actuators and analytical microsystems. The journal aims to promote original works that demonstrate significant progress beyond the current state of the art in these fields along with applicability to solve meaningful analytical problems. Review articles may only be submitted upon invitation from an Editor of the journal.

The journal aims to publish works that are supported by experimental results and as such purely theoretical works are not accepted. The analytical performance in all analytical parameters needs to be reported and critically compared with the state of the art. Sensing applications will be considered only if they refer to analytically challenging complex samples and are properly validated.

The scope of the journal encompasses, but is not restricted to, the following areas:
• Novel chemical sensing and biosensing concepts, mechanisms and detection principles
• Development of chemical sensors and biosensors
• Fabrication technology of chemical sensors, biosensors, chip-based detection devices and chemical actuators
• Chemical actuators including soft actuators, micro- and nanomotors, microfluidic components
• Photonic and biophotonic sensors and chemical sensing systems
• Lab-on-a-chip, Micro Total Analysis Systems (µTAS) and other biochips and microarray systems
• Sensor and sensor-array chemometrics

7.7 Submission
8.11 First round of review comments returned, major revision required. Two reviewers provided their feedback. The first reviewer was very professional and had insightful comments. We followed their suggestions and conducted additional experiments. It's difficult to describe the issues raised by the second reviewer, but one of them was related to the experimental content: we were asked to provide a detailed description of the experimental principles in the abstract, introduction, and discussion sections, as well as to discuss the differences between our work and previous publications in the introduction. We carefully revised the manuscript according to their suggestions.
8.30 Resubmission
9.13 Major revision required. The first reviewer accepted the revised manuscript, but the second reviewer rejected it. The reason for rejection was a single word used in the paper, and they recommended a complete revision of the entire manuscript. Everyone who read the rejection reason found it absurd, laughable, and frustrating. We explained in detail the reason for using that word and provided the Oxford definition.
10.1 Resubmission
10.3 Rejected. Upon receiving the news and seeing the rejection reason, we felt extremely frustrated and angry. It made us want to vomit blood, and we almost had a heart attack. The reason stated that our article lacked academic ideas and failed to cite references for experimental details. The second reviewer seemed determined to prevent us from getting published. It's disgusting. Now we have to start all over again, and every day is filled with anxiety. It feels like there's a constant pressure on our hearts. It's really frustrating to encounter such a reviewer.

2020.11.16 First submission (I've been waiting for this article since I'm graduating this year, it has been with the supervisor for two months, very anxious QAQ)
2020.12.01 Rejected, but the editor asked me to revise it according to his suggestions and resubmit (thank you so much to editor Prof. Guillermo Orellana for giving me the opportunity!)
2020.12.17 Second submission (I thought this submission would go back to the previous editor, but later found out it wasn't. Let's consider the submission cycle starting from this submission)
2021.01.16 Received reviewer comments, the editor is Dmitri Papkovsky (thank him for giving me the opportunity!), two reviewers recommended revisions and accepted, one felt that due to lack of novelty it should prevent its publication in SNB. The school had already closed for vacation, and the two minor revision comments made me excited all day.
2021.02.07 Revised manuscript reply (approaching the new year, the nervous waiting started again. Although I heard that the probability of minor revision being accepted is high, I still felt anxious and thought about it frequently)
2021.02.22 Received acceptance notification (a few nights ago, I had a dream of being rejected and woke up suddenly), my first SCI is now accepted by SNB, this journey of submission is also very lucky, thanks to the teacher who helped me with revisions, the two editors, and the three anonymous reviewers. I also wish everyone good results in the new year on their research journey~
