PS: During the process, the handling editor of the article appeared as AJPS guest editor in numbers.

Personally, I do not recommend it, purely a waste of time.

I'm even more miserable than you. I had to go through two rounds of minor revisions during the first review, and the editor only provided minor revisions. They only gave me 15 days to make the modifications. After I carefully made the changes and sent it back, they unexpectedly rejected it. I'm so frustrated. Then I appealed (appealed for 2 months), but there hasn't been any news at all... Sigh...
