Climate change is my generation's defining issue. However, I find that many people are not concerned about climate change, or they believe it is wildly overblown or a "hoax". No amount of agreement between international authorities will change their mind. These people are lawmakers, governors, mayors, and officials that sit on town councils. They make decisions that will influence our local climate and to a certain extent the world's future. How can we get the average person to take climate change more seriously?
I work as an editor and project manager for scientific manuscripts. Language fascinates me, and its use in the sciences is incredibly vital to communicate important ideas across different cultures. My BA is in English, but my current interests are in personal finance and fintech. Glad to see new faces here!
At my public school in the United States, we did not learn basic finances. My parents gave me a lot of good advice and habits, but I think financial literacy needs to be taught in schools. Did you study financial topics in school? How can we help students better learn about debt, credit cards, compounding interest, investing, etc.?

I think there are some serious ethical concerns with AI. How do we differentiate between AI-generated and human-generated text? Is it right appropriate to take credit for text written by ChatGPT? Does AI have a place in the publishing industry at all?
