Summary: FoxM1 overexpression is associated with tumor aggressiveness, while Artemisinin has been identified to curb its activity and potentially improve therapeutic response, especially in resistant liver cancer cells. The combination of Artemisinin with Thiostrepton showed enhanced efficacy in reducing growth and inducing cell death in liver cancer cells, providing a novel therapeutic option for resistant cancer patients.

Summary: In this study, transcriptomic changes during experimental hepatocarcinogenesis were analyzed, and it was found that INMT was downregulated at early stages of HCC and associated with poor prognosis in human HCC. This suggests that INMT may be a promising prognostic marker for HCC in high-risk populations.

Summary: Our study identified that under hypoxic conditions, extranuclear localization of FOXO3a promoted migration and invasion of human PC cells by modulating the DUSP6/ERK pathway, while also acting as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting the ERK signaling pathway.

Summary: The study identified CASC8 as a cancer susceptibility gene closely related to lung cancer, with high expression associated with poor prognosis in patients with lung adenocarcinoma. Silencing CASC8 inhibited proliferation, migration, and invasion in non-small cell lung cancer cell lines, and also promoted sensitivity to osimertinib through FOXM1. This pathway may offer new treatment options for lung cancer patients resistant to targeted therapies.

Summary: The majority of chronic hepatic diseases are caused by nutritional imbalance, specifically excessive intake of alcohol and fat. The pathogenesis of these diseases involves oxidative stress, autophagy, DNA damage, gut microbiota and their metabolites. Within the hepatic microenvironment, regulatory T cells (Tregs) play a crucial role in creating an immunosuppressive environment. This review discusses the function of Tregs in alcoholic liver disease (ALD) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and their role in the progression of NAFLD-associated hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
