Summary: In this study, Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC-UV) was used to rapidly analyze 31 novel, regioisomeric diphenidine-derived psychoactive substances. The polarity of the stationary phases had a significant impact on the retention time and elution order of the compounds. SFC demonstrated good retention for hydrophilic compounds that were poorly retained on a C18 reverse phase column.

Summary: This study presents the development of a rapid gradient UHPLC method with targeted MS/MS for the detection and confirmation of the identity of 33 substituted diphenidine derivatives in solid drug samples. The study also investigates the influence of substituents on the elution order and the retention mechanism of diphenidines under reverse-phase UHPLC conditions. The developed method was proven to be specific through the assessment of common adulterants, and it was successfully applied to confirm the identity of psychoactive components in seized bulk samples.

Summary: This study analyzed the characteristic aromatic compounds in traditional fermented koumiss from different regions of Xinjiang using GC-IMS and GC-MS. A total of 87 volatile substances were detected, with esters, acids, and alcohols identified as the main aroma compounds. While the types of aroma compounds were similar across regions, there were significant differences in their concentrations, indicating clear regional characteristics. Eight distinctive volatile compounds, including ethyl butyrate, were identified as markers to distinguish between different origins using GC-IMS and PLS-DA analysis. Sensory evaluation and OVA value analysis revealed variations in aroma components among the regions studied. This research provides theoretical guidance for the industrial production of Kazakh koumiss products.

Summary: DNA-targeting agents have clinical significance in anticancer chemotherapy, but their widespread use is limited due to toxicity. This study used in silico modeling and transcriptomics to characterize the DNA repair pathways activated by pradimicin-IRD treatment. Pradimicin-IRD was found to be a DNA intercalating agent and can potentially inhibit DNA-binding proteins. Genes related to DNA repair functions were modulated by pradimicin-IRD, providing insights for further research on this compound as a new antineoplastic agent.
