Summary: This study compared the effects of two laparoscopic methods on ovarian reserve in endometrioma patients. The results showed that appropriate laparoscopic electrocautery with a bipolar instrument may be a valid alternative to traditional laparoscopic cystectomy, with less impact on ovarian reserve.

Summary: The study investigated the impact of laparoscopic ovarian endometriosis cystectomy on ovarian reserve function and found that it had certain influences on ovarian reserve function. Most patients could recover at 1 y postoperatively, and the postoperative pregnancy rate for fertile patients could be significantly enhanced by adding gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist.

Summary: This study evaluated the impact of laparoscopic sclerotherapy on the management of endometrioma during surgery for deep infiltrative endometriosis (DIE). The results showed that laparoscopic sclerotherapy has a low impact on AMH levels, preserves fertility, and prevents recurrence.

Summary: Management options for ovarian endometriomas include expectant management, medical treatment, surgical treatment, in vitro fertilization (IVF), or a combination of the above. The choice of management depends on clinical parameters, with pain being typically treated with medical therapy and infertility being typically treated with IVF. Both symptoms usually require surgery.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the effect of early inflammatory reaction on ovarian reserve of patients with ovarian endometriomas after laparoscopic cystectomy. The results showed that inflammatory reaction is indeed involved in the damage of ovarian reserve during the surgery, and interleukin-6 (IL-6) may act as the most main inflammatory factor aggravating this damage.

Summary: The surgical management of ovarian endometrioma in patients desiring fertility requires balancing disease resection and preservation of the normal ovarian cortex. Maintaining tubal anatomy is also important. Fertility-sparing laparoscopic techniques aim to minimize surgical damage to the ovarian cortex and assess and respond to genital tract patency.

Summary: This study evaluated the effect of laparoscopic cystectomy on ovarian reserve in patients with ovarian cysts. The results showed that the surgery reduced serum AMH levels and the number of cauterizations used, cyst type, and bilaterality had a significant impact on postoperative AMH levels.

Summary: This study analyzed the value of measuring serum AMH, INHB, and bFSH levels in assessing postoperative ovarian reserve function in patients with endometrioma undergoing laparoscopic cystectomy. The results showed that AMH and INHB levels decreased while bFSH levels increased after surgery. Serum AMH and INHB levels were positively correlated with AFC and negatively correlated with bFSH levels. The combination of serum AMH, bFSH, and INHB tests had a high diagnostic value for postoperative abnormal ovarian reserve function.

Summary: This study investigated the changes in anti-Mallerian hormone (AMH) levels following laparoscopic ovarian endometriotic cystectomy. Results showed significant reduction in AMH levels at 1 and 3 months post-surgery, with older patients, those with bilateral cysts, and Douglas fossa occlusion showing more pronounced declines. The study suggests that abdominal wall lifting may have comparable effects to insufflation in preserving ovarian reserve following cystectomy.

Summary: This study found that living endometrial cells with high adhesion ability exist in the ovarian endometriotic cyst fluid, which may contribute to the recurrence of endometriosis after surgical excision of endometriomas due to cyst fluid outflow during the surgical procedure.

Summary: The study demonstrated a novel technique for ovarian cystectomy in pregnant patients with a large adnexal mass by combining in-bag and extracorporeal approaches. This approach was found to be safe, effective, and able to reduce spillage of cystic contents, providing better stabilization of the ovarian cyst.

Summary: This study presents a new technique for transumbilical single-incision laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy for huge ovarian masses, showing its safety and efficiency in a series of cases. The procedure was successful without any perioperative complications, and all patients, except those with endometriosis, had regular menstruation postoperatively. Future trials are needed to further explore the benefits of this method in terms of fertility preservation.
