Aurivillius phase (MnPr) co-doped CaBi2Nb2O9 (CBN) piezoelectric ceramics were prepared using the conventional solid state method. The Curie-temperature (T-C) of CBN-based ceramics decreased whereas the piezoelectric coefficient (d(33)) was improved with increasing of (MnPr) dopants. The experimental results showed that the (MnPr) ions could significantly improve the performance of CBN-based ceramics. 0.4%Mn + 1.0%Pr co-doped CBN ceramics had the best electric properties: d(33)= 11.63 pC/N, k(p) = 7.4%, Q(m) = 4148, K-t = 22.4%, N-p= 2850 Hzm, N-t= 2397 Hzm.
