Summary: ING genes are members of the tumor suppressor gene family and play important roles in regulating cell proliferation, apoptosis, and cellular senescence. They interact with chromatin structures and other proteins involved in biological processes such as cell cycle regulation, exerting their regulatory effects through epigenetic mechanisms. INGs have a role in restricting the proliferative and invasive potentials of normal cells and are particularly involved in cancer development and progression. However, further research and experimental confirmation are needed to validate these models.

Summary: Efforts are being made to develop low-power and high-efficiency technologies to reduce pollution in energy production worldwide due to the increasing damage caused by the recent climate crisis. One of the research areas focuses on mechano-responsive optical transmittance modulation technology for applications such as low-power sensors and smart windows. However, fabricating a piezotransmittance structure with a large-area production, high throughput, and good tunability is still challenging. An efficient fabrication method for a multi-layered piezo-transmittance structure has been presented, with tunability achieved through design parameters and surrogate models obtained from simulation and prediction models. Two energy-efficient applications have been demonstrated: a smart window with integrated hydraulic pump for indoor environment control and a telemetry system for remote pressure measurement.

Summary: In this research, a humidity compensation method using a deep learning network was proposed to minimize the effect of humidity on semiconductor metal oxide (SMO) gas sensors. The SMO gas sensors were fabricated by depositing In2O3 on a suspended microheater platform, and gas tests were conducted under various humidity conditions using NO2 gas. The gas sensing data and humidity data were simultaneously used as input data of the deep learning network for real-time humidity compensation. Through this method, the accuracy of predicting the concentration of NO2 gas in different humidity conditions was successfully improved.

Summary: With the increasing interest in environmental pollution, indoor air quality, and industrial safety, the demand for gas sensors is rapidly rising. However, the conventional gas sensors have high power consumption and bulky size, limiting their utilization. To overcome this issue, a micro-sized, ultra-low-power LED gas sensor and an e-nose system using a convolutional neural network algorithm were developed in this study. The results showed the capability to distinguish four different gas species and predict their concentrations in real time.
