Summary: This study showed that early changes in tumor ADCs and volume during treatment in cervical cancer patients are associated with better prognosis. %ADC increase and %Volume reduction during treatment provide additional prognostic value for predicting tumor recurrence compared to pre-treatment ADC and tumor volume.

Summary: Apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) histogram analysis based on whole tumor volume can be used to predict lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI) in patients with stage IB-IIA cervical cancer. ADC(max), ADC(range), and ADC(99) are promising parameters for predicting LVSI.

Summary: A supervised learning framework for synthesizing ADC images using generative adversarial networks was established and evaluated in this study. The deep learning algorithm demonstrated the potential to generate ADC maps without heavily depending on hardware systems and additional scan time. The synthesized ADC maps showed improved image quality and tumor detection performance compared to traditional ADC calculations.

Summary: There is a correlation between syMRI relaxometry and ADC maps in different breast cancer subtypes and treatment response subgroups. The correlation is more significant in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and less significant in HER2-positive breast cancer. T2 maps show a higher correlation with ADC in luminal HER2-negative breast cancer.

Summary: This study evaluates the early changes in apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) values after definitive radiotherapy (RT) in low- and intermediate-risk prostate cancer (PC) patients without androgen deprivation treatment. The results indicate that post-treatment ADC values are significantly associated with recurrence.

Summary: The study aims to assess the correlation between initial tumor ADC values and clinicopathological parameters in prostate cancer patients treated with radiotherapy, and analyze the prognostic factors for FFBF and PFS. The results showed that lower ADC values were associated with high-risk characteristics and increased risk of biochemical failure and progression.

Summary: Whole-tumor ADC histogram parameters, particularly kurtosis and skewness, are relevant biomarkers for predicting the nCRT response in LARC and appear to be more reliable than ADCmean from one-slice ROI.

Summary: This study aimed to differentiate lung cancer from pulmonary abscesses and mycobacterial infections using ADC histogram. Results showed significant differences in ADC values between lung cancer and PAMI, suggesting the potential of ADC histogram as a valuable tool for differentiation.

Summary: There is discrepancy in reported ADC values of the parotid gland, with factors such as gustatory stimulation, diffusion weighting factors, and timing of follow-up after radiotherapy influencing the measurements. Interestingly, the choice of regions of interest may not affect the ADC measurements.

Summary: ADC value is an essential quantitative parameter in the research of cervical cancer, influenced by factors such as pathological type and menstrual status. The study found that the ADC values of SCC and AC differ in different menstrual status, with ADC values generally higher in non-menopausal patients compared to menopausal patients.

Summary: This study aims to establish the optimal diffusion weighting (b-value) for whole-body diffusion-weighted MRI (WB-DWI) to estimate the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) in patients with metastatic melanoma (MM). The results suggest that the optimal high b-value is 1100 s/mm(2) and higher b-values lead to increased geometric distortion and reduced signal.

Summary: Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mMRI) is the preferred modality for imaging ovarian cancer (OC). This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of different types of regions of interest (ROIs) in the measurement of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of diffusion-weighted imaging in OC patients treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT). The study found that the mean ADC values of the primary tumour increased significantly after NACT in patients with OC, and the amount of increase in the omental mass was associated with the response to platinum-based NACT.
