Summary: This study aimed to examine postnatal mothers' attitude toward breastfeeding and its determinants. The results showed that the average attitude score for the participants was 65.0, close to the upper limit of the neutral attitude range. Factors positively associated with breastfeeding attitude included high income, pregnancy and delivery complications, prematurity, intention to breastfeed, and willingness to breastfeed exclusively. Therefore, breastfeeding promotion programs should target low-income mothers and the general population.

Summary: Specific foods, nutrients, dietary patterns, and physical activity have an impact on blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR), but the combined effect of these lifestyle factors is not well understood. A study examined the association between a validated Mediterranean-lifestyle index and 24-hour ambulatory BP and HR among older adults. Higher adherence to the Mediterranean lifestyle was associated with lower nighttime systolic BP, greater nocturnal-SBP fall, and lower HR in everyday life. These findings suggest that the components of the Mediterranean lifestyle provide a synergistic protection against high BP. Further research is needed to replicate these results in older adults from different countries.
