We analyse available experimental data on the total and differential charged-current cross sections for quasielastic nu N-mu and (nu) over bar N-mu scattering, obtained with a variety of nuclear targets in the accelerator experiments at ANL, BNL, FNAL, CERN, and IHEP, dating from the end of sixties to the present day. The data are used to adjust the poorly known value of the axial-vector mass of the nucleon.

Running axial mass of the nucleon as a phenomenological tool for calculating quasielastic neutrino-nucleus cross sections

Summary: An empirical rule-of-thumb is suggested for calculating the cross sections of charged-current quasielastic (CCQE) and CCQE-like interactions of neutrinos and antineutrinos with nuclei. Comparisons with earlier and current accelerator data show good overall agreement over a wide energy range. Various problematical issues common to contemporary models of neutrino-nucleus scattering are also discussed.

Analysis of the kinematic boundaries of the quasielastic neutrino-nucleus cross section in the superscaling model with a relativistic effective mass

Summary: In this study, we derived analytical expressions for the boundaries of the charged current quasielastic double differential cross section in terms of dimensionless energy and momentum transfers, within the scaling formalism. We also demonstrated the suitability of this cross section for implementation in Monte Carlo neutrino event generators, particularly due to its flat peak with respect to neutrino energy. Furthermore, we compared the total cross sections of two models and attributed the enhancement observed in the SuSAM* model to its high-momentum components present in the scaling function.
