Summary: In this study, 3D flower-like structured organic-inorganic hybrid nanoflowers (hNFs) with various lipases and graphene quantum dots (GQDs) were prepared and characterized. The addition of GQDs significantly increased the activity of the lipase hNFs. The lipase@GQDs hNFs showed higher activity compared to free lipase and other hNFs without GQDs, and also exhibited improved pH and thermal stability.

Summary: The synthesis and characterization of the first mesogenic donor-acceptor polyoxometalate (POM)-based hybrid were described. In the solid state, the compound exhibited birefringent behavior with lamellar organization, and the fluorescence of the organic donor unit was significantly quenched, attributed to the occurrence of an intramolecular charge-separated state.

Summary: Hybrid nanomaterials have emerged as a new interface of nanobiocatalysis, with inorganic crystal nanoflowers and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) being of particular interest for enzyme immobilization. However, there is a lack of literature reviews on enzyme@MOF and enzyme-hybrid nanoflower composites and their synthesis strategies and applications in biotechnology. This review discusses innovative synthetic strategies and biotechnological applications of enzyme@MOF and enzyme-hybrid nanoflower composites, aiming to provide insights and ideas for future research.

Summary: In this study, a highly efficient method for preparing conjugated triazolyl-substituted (oligo)phenothiazine organosilicon derivatives with luminescence and reversible redox characteristics using Cu-catalyzed alkyne-azide 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition variant was demonstrated. Additionally, mesoporous MCM-41 type silica hybrid materials with embedded (oligo)phenothiazines were prepared by in-situ co-condensation synthesis and characterized for their structural and electronic properties. The hybrid materials were also shown to be able to be oxidized to covalently bound embedded radical cations, identified by their UV/Vis absorption signature and EPR signals.
