Summary: Exposure to the spaceflight environment leads to physiological adaptations with individual variability. Countermeasure exercises complicate the interpretation of these effects. Long-term head-down bed rest studies isolate mechanical unloading effects and control factors contributing to individual variability.

Summary: This systematic review found evidence that aerobic exercise reduces pain sensitisation in individuals with musculoskeletal pain. Aerobic exercise involved walking or cycling at a submaximal intensity but with incremental increases, lasting for 4-60 minutes. The findings provide evidence for improved patient outcomes.

Summary: Space colonization poses significant challenges due to the absence of gravitational forces, leading to physiological alterations in the musculoskeletal system. Space medicine plays a crucial role in developing strategies to prevent and counteract weightlessness-induced damage. Studying the effects of weightlessness can provide valuable information on adaptations to spaceflight and potential treatments for musculoskeletal health preservation in microgravity conditions. This review aims to summarize the latest evidence on the effects of real and simulated microgravity on the musculoskeletal system and discuss the effectiveness of defense strategies in real and experimental settings.

Summary: The systematic review aims to investigate the effects of exposure to microgravity on the musculoskeletal system and the efficacy of exercise countermeasures in this environment. The interaction between the bone and muscle systems is complex, with resistive exercise targeting muscle mass and strength likely to be the most effective countermeasure.

Summary: The study compared the effect of combined aerobic exercise and neck-specific exercise to neck-specific exercise alone on work ability of individuals with neck pain. Results showed that the combination of exercises improved work ability more effectively, especially for individuals with lower baseline work ability.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the relationship between concussion recovery and preinjury physical fitness among military cadets. The results showed that preinjury physical fitness was not significantly associated with recovery duration, and men and intercollegiate cadets had shorter recovery time. Additionally, there were differences in physical fitness measures between genders and after concussion.
