Summary: The ongoing research on AICD structure optimization aims to improve the water control performance of the device. By designing a low viscosity AICD and using orthogonal test, the structure was optimized and the influence of structure parameters on the flow field distribution in AICD was revealed. The water control performance of the optimized AICD was significantly improved compared to the original model under different conditions, as demonstrated by the analysis of water-oil pressure loss difference.

Summary: This brief introduces an energy harvester IC with a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) scheme that can operate in an ultra-wide input power range. By adaptively switching between fixed charge search (FCS) mode and fixed frequency search (FFS) mode, the proposed MPPT algorithm can achieve optimal performance based on the input power level. The implemented chip, using 180nm CMOS process, achieves a wide input power range of 12nW-to-180mW with a peak efficiency of 93.6% and occupies a small area of 1.14 x 1.24mm(2). The MPPT scheme based on hill climbing algorithm demonstrates a conversion efficiency of over 30% even at 12nW input power, while consuming a quiescent current of 2.2nA.

Summary: This article presents the design of a maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller for photovoltaic (PV) applications. The controller utilizes a Fuzzy Gain Scheduling of Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) type controller (FGS-PID) and scaling factors (SF) to enhance control performance and stability in the presence of fluctuations and varying conditions. The use of an adaptive two-level controller and the combination of fuzzy logic system (FLC) and PID control contribute to improved tracking accuracy, reduced settling time, and enhanced dynamic response compared to conventional methods.

Summary: This paper proposes a new method of extracting maximum power from PV systems under low irradiation and overcast weather conditions using a biased transformer. By using three winding transformers to provide biased voltage and current, the proposed method obtains biased current and voltage from the grid and feeds them to the primary winding-two of the three winding transformers. The method is compared with the conventional incremental conductance method in terms of power, cost, and efficiency analysis.

Summary: This paper introduces a capacitor sample-hold oscillator architecture that achieves temperature-stabilized operation without a precise reference generator by using a capacitor to sample-hold the peak charge voltage of the previous phase as the reference for the current phase. The frequency of the oscillator depends on the RC time constants of capacitors charging or discharging and the comparator delay time. The architecture improves temperature stability by analyzing the temperature characteristics of the comparator delay time and using temperature compensated bias currents.

Summary: Fluctuations in the output power of photovoltaic systems under climate changes, especially radiation and temperature variations, pose important challenges. This paper proposes a maximum power point tracking method to eliminate power oscillations in PV systems in severe weather conditions. The improved shuffled frog-leaping algorithm and fuzzy controller are used to find optimal parameters. The combination of the fuzzy logic controller and ISFLA algorithm is employed to fine-tune the member functions. A storage system is utilized for increased stability and reliability. Simulation results demonstrate excellent tracking efficiency, with a 16% improvement compared to conventional MPPT controllers under partial shading conditions.
