Li3V2(PO4)(3)/Li4Ti5O12/C (LVP/LTO/C) composite has been synthesized via a sol-gel method and investigated by physical and electrochemical methods. In the range of 3.0-4.3 V. the LVP/LTO/C electrodes exhibit excellent cyclic performance. The discharge capacity reached 90.3 and 75.5 mAh g(-1) for discharge rate of 50 C when the charge rate was 5 and 25 C, respectively. The excellent rate capability and cyclic performance are attributed to the existence of the carbon with high electronic conductivity and LTO with high lithium ion diffusion coefficient.
