Summary: The lncRNA LINC00551 plays a significant role in ESCC development and progression, with downregulated expression associated with poor prognosis for ESCC patients. Overexpression of LINC00551 inhibits ESCC cell proliferation and invasion, while knockdown promotes these processes. LINC00551 binds to HSP27 and decreases its phosphorylation, thereby regulating ESCC cell proliferation and invasion.

Summary: The study found that KIRREL3 is highly expressed in ESCC tissues and cell lines to varying degrees. Inhibiting KIRREL3 expression in ESCC cells can suppress cell proliferation, colony formation, invasion, and migration, and affect cell cycle progression and apoptosis. Overexpression of KIRREL3 in these cells has opposite effects.

Summary: METTL3 is found to be significantly increased in ESCC tissues and associated with poor prognosis. METTL3 promotes cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in ESCC and achieves this through upregulating the expression of COL12A1 and phosphorylation of RAF/MRK/ERK. Additionally, COL12A1 can counteract the siMETTL3-mediated inhibition of proliferation, migration, and invasion in ESCC.

Summary: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is a common and aggressive tumor with poor long-term survival rates. Through gene expression analysis, KIF4A was found to be overexpressed in ESCC tissues and cells, associated with poor prognosis. KIF4A may serve as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets in ESCC patients.

Summary: The expression of TRPC1 in ESCC is significantly associated with prognosis and tumor characteristics. TRPC1 potentially regulates cell proliferation, migration, and invasion through the AKT/p27 pathway, indicating its importance in the malignant progression of ESCC.

Summary: This study investigated the expression of RING-Finger Protein 6 (RNF6) in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) cells and its impact on cell proliferation, invasion, and migration through the TGF-beta 1/c-Myb pathway. The results showed that up-regulation of RNF6 promoted the progression of esophageal cancer and predicted poor prognosis. Silencing RNF6 inhibited the migration and invasion of ESCC cells. RNF6 regulated ESCC cell migration and invasion by activating the TGF-beta pathway and promoting esophageal cancer progression through c-Myb.

Summary: The RNA component RMRP is upregulated in ESCC and is associated with lymph node metastasis, TNM stage, and poor prognosis in ESCC patients. RMRP promotes proliferation, migration, and invasion of ESCC cells through regulation of the miR-613/NRP2 axis, providing a potential target for ESCC treatment.

Summary: Transgelin is found to be expressed at low levels in ESCC, and its expression is positively correlated with the prognosis of ESCC patients. It inhibits the malignant progression of ESCC by suppressing the occurrence of EMT, as its overexpression significantly reduces cell invasion and proliferation abilities, while its knockdown promotes cell proliferation, migration, and invasion.

Summary: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) shows a rapid increase in China, and the highly expressed KIF22 plays a crucial role in ESCC development. Down-regulation of KIF22 inhibits malignant progression of ESCC cells and promotes apoptosis, while also affecting cell cycle-and EMT-related proteins. MiR-122 is identified as a regulator of KIF22, providing a potential target for ESCC treatment.

Summary: This study found that the expression of STK39 was enhanced in HCC patients and tissues, and knockdown of STK39 suppressed the proliferation, migration, and invasion of HCC cells by inducing lower levels of p-p38. Additionally, STK39 silencing reduced c-Myc levels in the cells, and inhibited HCC tumor growth in vivo.
