Summary: Multiple myeloma survival is longer with deeper response, but there are conflicting results regarding complete remission and minimal residual disease negativity. Some patients with persistent M protein have undetectable MRD. We reviewed the frequency of this discrepancy and suggest MRD assessment for patients achieving very good partial response or better.

Summary: Hand hygiene, social distancing, and face covering are crucial in preventing the spread of Coronavirus. This study investigated the effect of different gelling agents and their concentrations on the properties and antimicrobial activity of alcohol-based hand sanitizers (ABHSs). The results showed that cellulose polymers interacting with ethanol may lead to a slight reduction in the biocidal activity of ABHSs. Carbopol was found to be one of the best thickener agents for ABHS formulations, emphasizing the importance of choosing the right gelling agent.

Summary: Sarcopenia, the loss of muscle mass, strength and function, is common in older adults and has various negative impacts on health. There are multiple definitions for sarcopenia, causing confusion in diagnosis. Resistance training is an effective approach to improve sarcopenia. Emphasis should be placed on optimizing training methods and long-term adherence rather than modifying sarcopenia definitions.

Summary: Asset co-movement has gained increasing attention from researchers in traditional finance and interdisciplinary fields. However, there is limited knowledge regarding the consistency of market-wide co-movement proxies constructed based on these two perspectives. This study constructs market-wide co-movement proxies using R2-based and network-based approaches and examines their pricing using supervised principal analysis. The findings show that most topological properties are highly correlated with the R2-based proxies, and the risk-premium estimates range from 90 bps to 130 bps per month. Furthermore, the co-movement proxies are linked to asset fundamental characteristics, but the associated R2 values remain low, highlighting the challenges in hedging the risks associated with market-wide co-movement in equity markets.

Summary: In this paper, we introduce a new innovation by emphasizing institutional quality in the institutions and environmental degradation debate. Using panel data from 163 countries, we find robust evidence that stronger institutions can effectively reduce environmental pollution and address environmental problems in densely populated cities. The study highlights the importance of strengthening domestic institutions related to environmental policy formulation and regulation for a cleaner environment.

Summary: This article discusses spectroscopic probes and quantum chemistry as means of investigating the structure of gas-phase hydrated ions. The H/D exchange is also used for structure elucidation. Nanocalorimetry is employed to search for thermochemical signatures that differentiate surface solvation from internal solvation. Examples of size-dependent reactivity are reviewed to demonstrate the influence of solvation on cluster rearrangements and ion-molecule reactions.

Summary: The enteric nervous system, often referred to as the 'second brain', shares many features with the central nervous system and may be susceptible to neurodegenerative diseases similar to those affecting the brain. Current studies focus on the expression and phosphorylation pattern of tau protein in the enteric nervous system, exploring the potential occurrence of 'enteric tauopathies'.

Summary: Treatment failure (TF), particularly in leishmaniasis, is a major concern in the management of parasitic diseases. It is unclear whether drug resistance (DR), measured by in vitro drug susceptibility assays, is the sole contributor to TF. This article addresses three key questions to clarify the relationship between TF and DR.

Summary: This paper explores the RGB-T salient object detection task and proposes a network model named TNet, which tackles the problem by introducing a global illumination estimation module and cross-modality interaction mechanisms. Experimental results demonstrate that TNet achieves competitive performance compared to other state-of-the-art methods.

Summary: This study examines corporate social responsibility in the luxury sector. By conducting an in-depth longitudinal and qualitative analysis of a luxury company, the results reveal that CSR does not affect financial performance despite a negative event. Ultimately, the study proposes a matrix to explain the various influences on a luxury company's business model and financial performance.

Summary: This study reexamines the relative importance of the host country effect on foreign affiliate performance by analyzing a global sample of 34,708 foreign affiliates operating in 91 host countries. The results of the variance decomposition indicate that the host country effect is often less significant than previously believed, only explaining a small portion of the performance differences among affiliates. The study offers implications for future international strategy research, promoting a better understanding of the relative importance of external and internal determinants. Furthermore, it directs scholarly attention to other effect classes, such as the affiliate effect.

Summary: This study uses the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) data to examine the impact of Chinese fiscal decentralization on public service satisfaction. The findings indicate that fiscal decentralization has a significantly positive effect on public service satisfaction in China. The effect is more pronounced in the eastern regions compared to the central and western regions. Economic pressure and corruption have a negative moderating effect, while marketization has a positive moderating effect.
