Summary: Percutaneous catheter interventions have become essential for diagnosing and treating structural heart diseases and arrhythmias. Intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) is increasingly used in cardiac interventions due to its real-time imaging and monitoring capabilities. This consensus document provides guidance for clinicians and aims to improve interventional cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment procedures by standardizing the clinical applications of ICE.

Summary: Dental caries is a chronic oral disease that poses a significant threat to human health. Despite efforts by dentists and researchers, the prevalence of dental caries remains high. Establishing a clinical difficulty assessment system for caries prevention and management based on diagnosis and classification is crucial. Dentists should conduct oral examinations and create dental records during each visit. Personalized treatment plans, based on caries risk assessment and lesion activity, are necessary to restore oral microecological balance, control caries progression, and restore the structure and function of the affected teeth. Follow-up visits should be conducted based on personalized caries management. This expert consensus focuses on caries risk assessment, treatment difficulty assessment, and dental caries treatment plans, which are essential components of caries management throughout the life cycle.

Summary: Regenerative endodontic procedures (REPs) are a biologic-based treatment modality for immature permanent teeth diagnosed with pulp necrosis. Scientific evidence has shown the efficacy of REPs in promoting root development. However, the heterogeneity in protocols highlights the need for guidelines and considerations to refine the clinical management of REPs.

Summary: Constipation is a common problem affecting a significant portion of the population. Recent advancements have led to the recognition of occasional constipation as a subtype that differs from chronic constipation. This review presents the process of developing a new definition for occasional constipation based on expert consensus and considering various factors. The definition proposes intermittent or occasional symptomatic alterations in bowel habit, without alarming features. The review highlights the need for further research to validate the definition and improve understanding and management of occasional constipation.

Summary: Congenital heart disease is the most common cardiovascular condition in individuals with Down syndrome, affecting up to 50% of patients. Other factors that contribute to cardiovascular outcomes include pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary, endocrine, and metabolic diseases, and risk factors for atherosclerotic disease. Disparities in cardiovascular care for individuals with Down syndrome, which vary across different locations and healthcare systems, are often overlooked. This review provides a comprehensive summary of the diagnosis, prevalence, and management of cardiovascular disease in patients with Down syndrome, as well as addressing disparities in care based on resource availability.

Summary: The maximum expert consensus model (MECM) is an effective model for achieving consensus in group decision making. However, previous literature on MECM has overlooked the uncertainty and risks in the decision environment. This paper proposes novel MECMs, including the risk MECM (RMECM) based on mean-variance theory and the robust risk MECM (R-RMECM) to handle uncertainty caused by estimation errors. The models are tested with a specific example of new energy vehicle subsidy policy negotiation.

Summary: This expert group consensus statement highlights the importance of standardizing the definition of progressive fibrosing interstitial lung diseases (F-ILDs) and the need for accurate initial diagnosis. Case-by-case decisions on monitoring and management are essential due to the varying presentations and rates of progression. The guidance also emphasizes the value of diagnostic tests in risk stratification and the use of early antifibrotic therapy in progressive pulmonary fibrosis (PPF).
