Summary: Pediatric androgenetic alopecia is often overlooked, but it is important to conduct clinical evaluations and trichoscopy in children and adolescents with hair loss or reduced hair density. Diagnosis is mainly based on clinical observation and trichoscopy, with the possibility of excluding hyperandrogenism. While there is no approved therapy for pediatric androgenetic alopecia, topical and oral minoxidil, as well as topical finasteride, may be beneficial. Hair transplants may be considered in select cases for girls. This article provides a review of the current evidence on pediatric androgenetic alopecia.

Summary: The sawcut depth of transverse contraction joints in jointed plain concrete pavements affects the crack induction in early age concrete and the states of stress around the contraction joints caused by temperature during operation. The reduction of the sawcut depth can lower the heat damage probability.

Summary: This article traces the history of the "natural" style from late 17th century letter writing manuals to Gellert's reform, highlighting the derivation of the ideal of "naturalness" from the concept of letters as conversations among absentees. The article argues that the semantic shifts within the concept of "naturalness" are in line with changes in the relationship between letters and publicity. Unlike gallant letters, Gellert's letters emphasize that they were not intended for an outside audience in order to generate their quality of "naturalness".

Summary: One of Kant's influential claims is that pleasure in beauty is disinterested. The article explores different interpretations of this claim, focusing on the phenomenological interpretation. It argues that only through this interpretation can we understand how disinterestedness forms the foundation of Kant's investigations into beauty. The article emphasizes the idea that beauty is grounded in a unique feeling, detached from any desires or wants.

Summary: The revised Atlanta classification allows for a correct definition of the stages and complications of acute pancreatitis. The terms translated into German by an expert group have been agreed upon in the new S3 guideline for pancreatitis. The German terms should be consistently used according to the new S3 guideline for pancreatitis.

Summary: Hand eczema is a common problem among cleaning professionals, often caused by a combination of wet work and exposure to irritants. This mini-review introduces a two-step diagnostic algorithm using patch testing for suspected allergic contact eczema in cleaning professionals. The first step involves testing standard series, rubber series, extended fragrance series, and preservative/disinfectant series. If no triggering allergen is found, the second step recommends testing own substances, with the possibility of further investigating positive indicator mixes from the first step.

Summary: The control of cellular zinc concentrations is crucial for the survival and virulence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In this study, it was found that the Zur protein, a known repressor of zinc import, also plays a role in zinc export. Zur represses zinc entry in situations of zinc excess and activates the transcription of czcR, a positive regulator of the zinc export system. This discovery highlights a new role of Zur as a global regulator of zinc homeostasis in P. aeruginosa.

Summary: This study investigates the processing of Mandarin innovative Bei construction in a self-paced reading experiment and finds that the constructional meaning of this structure facilitates its processing. The results show that when participants were primed with construction-related phrases, their reading time was significantly shorter compared to other priming conditions. This provides psychological evidence for the construction-based processing of Mandarin innovative Bei construction.

Summary: As a necessary element, zinc plays a crucial role in proteins. However, excess zinc can be toxic. This study explores the antibacterial signaling pathway triggered by zinc excess in Mycobacterium bovis and its relationship with iron homeostasis. The findings reveal the existence of the Zur-IdeR-iron homeostasis pathway and shed light on the crosstalk mechanisms between zinc and iron in bacteria, as well as the antimicrobial mechanisms of host-mediated zinc toxicity.
