Summary: This study conducted a systematic review and individual-participant meta-analysis, finding incomplete occlusion after Vein of Galen malformation embolization is associated with mortality and poor clinical outcomes. The results provide the highest level of evidence for VOGM embolization to date.

Summary: This study reviewed the treatment courses of 36 cases of vein of Galen aneurysmal malformation and discussed the presence of fine, vascular network formations. The study found that this phenomenon is an acquired and reversible change that differs from typical dural vessel recruitment.

Summary: In this study, 36 cases of vein of Galen aneurysmal malformation with fine, vascular network formations were retrospectively analyzed. It was found that the development of a fine, vascular network formation is a unique phenomenon that differs from typical dural vessel recruitment during treatment.

Summary: This study retrospectively analyzed the long-term outcomes of 22 patients with vein of Galen aneurysmal malformation (VGAM) who underwent endovascular embolization. The results showed that combining endovascular therapy with a comprehensive management strategy significantly reduces mortality rates and improves the possibility of normal neurological development in patients.

Summary: This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical and angiographic outcomes of patients with anterior cranial fossa DAVFs who underwent EVT as a first-line approach. The results showed that most anterior cranial base DAVFs can be successfully treated with an endovascular approach, with rare neurological and visual complications. The primary access route of ophthalmic artery showed good outcomes. Future efforts should focus on comparing EVT and surgical management.

Summary: Although femoral artery access site complications occur relatively infrequently, they increase the cost of care for patients undergoing neurointerventional procedures. Further investigation is needed to determine how this influences the cost effectiveness of neurointerventional procedures.

Summary: This study systematically reviewed the management and outcomes of pediatric patients who developed intracranial pseudoaneurysm (IPA) following head trauma or iatrogenic injury. The analysis found that various treatment strategies for IPAs in pediatric patients were safe and effective, with a high rate of favorable neurological outcomes achieved.

Summary: Based on the study findings, patients with CCE had lower reperfusion rates and less improvement on the NIHSS after EVT, but CCE were not significantly associated with worse functional outcomes or higher mortality rates. Therefore, EVT should still be considered in this specific group of patients.

Summary: Endovascular embolization is the primary strategy for managing vein of Galen malformations (VOGM). However, these malformations remain technically challenging due to high-flow arteriovenous shunts. Advanced flow-control techniques, including regionally targeted and global methods, can be used to increase the safety and efficacy of endovascular treatment. Each strategy has unique advantages and disadvantages, emphasizing the importance of a patient-specific approach.

Summary: This study investigated the safety and efficacy of endovascular embolization for dural arteriovenous fistulas (dAVFs) involving the vein of Galen (VoG), and found that this method can achieve a high rate of fistula occlusion. However, there is still a potential risk of clinical complications with this approach.

Summary: Planned coil placement in the terminal part of prominent feeding arteries reduced the flow and provided lattice on which glue deposits in a controlled manner without any incidence of non-target embolization in our study. This relatively less described technique increases the safety and accuracy of the endovascular treatment in VOGM patients.
