Summary: The study focused on emulsions based on enzymatically modified fats stabilized with polysaccharides. Results showed that the enzymatic modification allowed for the production of new fats that can be successfully applied as emulsion oil phases, and the use of varying amounts of texture modifier did not significantly affect system stability.

Summary: Advanced prostate cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer death globally. Lipids and their metabolism have been increasingly recognized as playing a role in PCa development, progression, and metastasis. Targeting enzymes and transporters involved in lipid metabolism is a growing focus in therapeutic approaches for PCa. Studies also support dietary modulation in improving the efficacy of standard care and synthetic lethality in PCa treatment.

Summary: Lipids are essential for energy storage and membrane composition in plants. They also serve as substrates for the generation of signaling molecules. Despite their importance in stress response, the specific roles of plant lipids in abiotic stress remain largely unknown. This review provides a comprehensive overview of plant lipid metabolism and discusses their involvement in plant responses to abiotic stress, offering crucial background for further research on the interactions between plant lipids and stress.

Summary: Lipid metabolism disorders play a crucial role in the development of various lipid-related diseases. Celastrol, extracted from the Chinese herb Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F, has shown promising therapeutic effects for these diseases. It can ameliorate lipid metabolism disorders by regulating lipid profiles and related processes. This review provides an overview of celastrol's lipid-regulating properties and its underlying molecular mechanisms, as well as suggesting potential strategies for enhancing its effects and overcoming limitations in clinical applications.

Summary: Due to the limited regenerative ability of the central nervous system, effective treatments for spinal cord injury have been lacking. The study found that a MgO/PLCL scaffold loaded with PUR and RA can reduce glial scar formation and promote neuronal differentiation of endogenous NSCs, leading to partial recovery of locomotor function in SCI mice.

Summary: Morphogen concentrations in space and time during development are important for specifying cell fate. Bicoid and Dorsal are two morphogens that directly regulate target genes in Drosophila embryos, providing insights into how morphogens interact and change roles over time. In addition to these factors, there are other inputs working together to control spatiotemporal gene expression in embryos.

Summary: mRNA vaccine technology has great potential in fighting infectious diseases, as shown by the licensing of Comirnaty (R) (Pfizer/BioNtech) and Spikevax (R) (Moderna), two mRNA-based vaccines, during the Covid-19 crisis. However, current mRNA/LNP vaccine technology has limitations, including thermostability. A novel imidazole modified lipid, DOGIM4, combined with standard helper lipids, can improve the thermostability of mRNA/LNP.
