Summary: A systematic analysis found that robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) offers better outcomes compared to laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (LRP) in treating prostate cancer, with higher rates of erectile function recovery, lower urinary incontinence rate, and decreased likelihood of biochemical recurrence.

Summary: The study evaluated the performance benefits of using a remote-controlled camera holder (RCH) in laparoscopic skill acquisition for novices. Results showed that the RCH group reached competency in tasks faster and experienced lower workload compared to the human camera assistant group.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate and validate a laparoscopic abdominal simulator for beginners to acquire basic laparoscopic skills. The results showed that the simulator provided the acquisition of basic laparoscopic skills and improved surgical performance scores, time metrics, number of movements, and angular displacement. It also proved effective for training advanced laparoscopic skills. The overall rating of the simulator's feasibility and effectiveness was 10 out of 10.

Summary: The study found that pelvic floor muscle training is effective in improving urinary incontinence in men who have received radical prostatectomy, leading to a significant reduction in myostatin concentration, improved quality of life, and decreased depressive symptoms.

Summary: This study compares the ergonomic risk between laparoscopic and robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy. The results show that the robotic-assisted approach has lower ergonomic risk compared to laparoscopic surgery. However, harmful postures are still observed in both surgeries.

Summary: Previous radical prostatectomy should not be an absolute contraindication for totally extraperitoneal laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair. In experienced hands, TEP LIHR can be safely performed for patients with previous RP, with outcomes equivalent to those without previous RP.

Summary: This study compared the functional and oncological outcomes of robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP) and three-dimensional laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (3D-LRP) at 12 months after surgery. The results showed no significant difference between the two surgical modalities in terms of urinary continence, positive surgical margin rate, and biochemical recurrence.

Summary: A study comparing ultrasonic dissection and athermal dissection in nerve-sparing laparoscopic radical prostatectomy found no significant difference in long-term potency, continence, and early biochemical recurrence between the two techniques.

Summary: This study evaluated the effect of the mental exercise 'deconstruction into key steps' (DIKS) on the time required to acquire laparoscopic skills. The results showed that training with DIKS can shorten practice time and improve laparoscopic performance. Gender, self-assessed dexterity, and motivation also significantly influence performance in laparoscopic training.

Summary: In this study, a pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training program for patients undergoing laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (LRP) was developed. The program is scientific, reliable, safe, and feasible, providing important reference value for clinical pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training and the prevention and control of urinary incontinence.

Summary: This study examined the effectiveness of distance learning in surgical technique training and provided an alternative sustainable method for medical professional training. The results showed that distance learning and in-person education had similar effects on students' performance improvement. The online form of teaching was well-received by students, who viewed it as an effective and good alternative.

Summary: This study compared the long-term outcomes of robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP) and open retropubic radical prostatectomy (RRP) for localised prostate cancer. The findings showed that RALP had lower prostate cancer-specific mortality at 8 years after surgery and a lower incidence of erectile dysfunction compared to RRP. The results suggest that RALP may be a safer option for patients with localised prostate cancer.

Summary: This study aimed to compare the impact of robotic-assisted and laparoscopic radical prostatectomy on patients' quality of life. The results showed that robotic-assisted surgery led to an earlier recovery in several domains of general health-related quality of life and short-term recovery of urinary symptoms. However, sexual activity and function remained worse in both treatment groups.
