This work demonstrates for the first time of synthesizing Pt containing trimetallic Au/Pd/Pt colloidal nanocomposites using polymer capping through microwave (MW) irradiation method. The resulting trimetallic nanocomposite were characterized by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), high-resolution scanning electron microscopy (HR-SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Addition of L-cysteine (L-Cys) in Au/Pd/Pt trimetallic nanocomposite has been done to examine the formation of bio nanocomposite, which has been characterized by surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), which reveals S-H adsorption with Au core surrounded by Pd/Pt nanoshell.
