Summary: This study presents a novel workflow based on complementary gas-phase separations for identifying isomeric PAHs from complex mixtures. By coupling GC, APLI, and TIMS-MS, over a hundred known unknowns were uniquely identified based on multiple characterization metrics. The workflow also demonstrated the analytical capability for untargeted screening of isomeric and isobaric compounds with additional characterization metrics not available in traditional GC-EI-MSn workflows.

Summary: Reversed-phase HPLC is commonly used in MS-based proteomics for peptide separation, with particle-packed capillary columns being predominantly used in nanoflow HPLC systems. Despite capillary columns being a standard for many years, they are expensive and have short lifetimes, leading many laboratories to produce their own in-house packed columns.

Summary: The cardiovascular system and the central nervous system exhibit a coordinated developmental process during embryonic development. Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most common congenital disorder, and neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) are common complications in CHD patients. Both genetic and non-genetic factors contribute to the co-occurrence of CHD and NDD. Further research should focus on identifying common molecular mechanisms underlying this co-occurrence and promoting the research and treatment of developmental disorders related to the cardiovascular and central nervous systems.
