Summary: A novel nanoarchitecture has been successfully constructed by confining bimetallic phosphides within mesoporous carbon as Pt support, leading to enhanced catalytic activity and stability in methanol oxidation reaction. The synergistic effect between Pt, NiCoPx, and mesoporous carbon has resulted in increased active sites and intrinsic activity per site. The encapsulation carbon layer protects the co-catalytic effect of NiCoPx after long-time exposure.

Summary: The authors developed a bioconcrete bioink using electrosprayed cell-laden microgels as aggregates and gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) precursor solution as the cement. The bioink exhibited promising printability and strong binding on tissue-hydrogel interface. It can be functionalized faster than normal bioinks, making it suitable for in-situ bioprinting for therapy.

Summary: In this study, the stability of anthocyanin compounds was improved by encapsulating them in nanoliposomes formed by rapeseed lecithin and coated with chitosan. The results showed that chitosan coating significantly improved the encapsulation efficiency, physical stability, and mechanical stability of the nanoliposomes. Chitosan also altered the flow behavior of the nanoliposomes and reduced thixotropic behavior. The findings suggest that chitosan coating is a promising approach for enhancing the stability and loading efficiency of anthocyanin compounds in various industries.

Summary: Pt@CeO2 catalysts with different structures were synthesized and their catalytic performance for toluene combustion was studied. The Pt@CeO2-R catalyst with a nanorod structure exhibited the best activity, which can be attributed to the confinement effect of Pt nanoparticles in Ce-MOFs, as well as the chemical state of Pt species, redox ability, and the amount of active oxygen species.

Summary: This work synthesized a series of mesoporous Pt/SAPO-11 catalysts using a dual template system, and characterized them. Among them, the Pt/SAPO-11-S catalyst synthesized with SDBS-P123 as the dual template showed the least Pt loss, the largest specific surface area, and the smallest Pt particle size. This catalyst exhibited good catalytic performance and high stability in the decarboxylation reaction.

Summary: This study demonstrated the facile construction of functionalized mesoporous MIL-101-ILs (Cr) and successfully synthesized ionic-meso-MOFs with a high specific surface area and pore diameter. The inclusion of an aromatic moiety into an ionic liquid improved the coordination ability and facilitated the synthesis. The in situ synthesis procedure offers a simple method for developing and fabricating multifunctional mesoporous materials.

Summary: Intestinal flora regulation is an effective method to treat diseases associated with microbiome imbalance. While phage delivery has shown promise in modifying gut flora composition, there are challenges in maintaining phage stability and precise delivery. Encapsulation strategy using different materials has been used to protect phages and control their release in the colon. This review summarizes recent research progress on phage encapsulation and delivery, with a focus on the function properties of carrier systems in protection and colon-targeted delivery.

Summary: By utilizing the adsorption capacity of USY and the energy input of EMIF technique, a highly energy-efficient system was designed to eliminate gaseous toluene in the air. The operation model involving intermittent heating and mass transfer saves a lot of energy. The bi-functional system operates flexibly between adsorption and catalytic decomposition, making it ideal for cleaning VOCs emitted from intermittent sources.
