Therefore, the functional role and structure of OCTN1 continue to be a hot topic of research.

Summary: The new material of the plant Saportaea salisburioides from the late Permian Umm Irna Formation in Jordan shows remarkable morphological variation and may have belonged to a single plant or stand. The findings suggest that Saportaea grandifolia and Baiera virginiana should be considered synonyms of S. salisburioides.

Summary: A functional composite membrane consisting of bacterial cellulose and chitin nanofibrils was fabricated in this study, and its antibacterial activity was enhanced by incorporating all-natural bioactive nanoparticles. The addition of these nanoparticles did not compromise the mechanical properties and thermal stability of the composite, but led to a rougher surface structure and increased water contact angle. The resulting nanocomposite exhibited significant inhibitory effects against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
