Summary: Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that regulates cognitive and emotional processes in the brain. Its role in cancer is uncertain, but it interacts with receptors in tumor cells and influences cellular processes such as proliferation and migration. Drugs developed for other purposes have been explored for potential cancer treatment, but the role of dopamine in this context needs further clarification.

Summary: A stable, rich, and diverse gut microbiota is important for postnatal brain development. Alterations in gut microbiota by factors such as diet, stress, infection, and antibiotics have been associated with various diseases. This study found that early-life exposure to antibiotics affects the development of the microbiota-gut-brain axis, leading to changes in the reward system and response to drug abuse in adulthood.

Summary: A novel chemical sensor BUDIN based on 1,8-naphthalimide has been developed, which exhibits ratiometric fluorescence behavior and naked-eye response for sensitive and specific determination of Cu2+ at nanomolar levels. BUDIN shows continuous emission variations with the addition of different amounts of Cu2+, resulting in color changes from yellow to blue. The detection limit for Cu2+ is 17 nM.

Summary: A new fluorescent sensor, BR-N, was introduced for highly selective and sensitive detection of Hb. The probe showed significant changes in fluorescence emission with the addition of Hb, demonstrating its potential for practical use in clinical diagnosis. The interactions between the probe and Hb were characterized by a static quenching mechanism with a binding constant value of 2.8 x 10(5) M-1.

Summary: Tamoxifen is a widely used selective estrogen receptor modulator for breast cancer treatment, but it has undesirable effects on uterine tissues. FLTX2, a derivative of tamoxifen, shows promising antiestrogen properties and induces apoptotic cell death in MCF7 cells through photosensitization.

Summary: Inspired by natural phenolic-protein interactions, the study developed an albumin-bound technology based on phenolic acid derivatives. These derivatives can bind to albumin and form nanocomplexes. The technology has been successfully applied to various anticancer drugs and showed promising results in breast cancer models.

Summary: Novel bis(pyrimidines) were studied as positive allosteric modulators (PAMs) of AMPA receptors, and ten compounds were found to have potentiating properties. Molecular modeling and prediction suggested that this type of compound could serve as potential lead compounds for neuroprotective drugs.

Summary: In this study, a novel type of amorphous imidazole-Cu nanozyme with high laccase- and catecholase-like activity was prepared. The nanozyme exhibited higher catalytic activity and stability compared to laccase, and showed potential applications in environmental pollution remediation and dopamine detection.

Summary: This study demonstrates the utility of terminal alkynes in improving the binding properties of DNA aptamers to proteins. The terminal alkyne enhances the binding affinity by stabilizing the aptamer-protein interface through noncovalent interactions. This is the first case of terminal alkynes enhancing the binding properties of an aptamer.

Summary: The combination therapy of OncoTherad(REG; MRB-CFI-1) immunotherapy and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) shows promising effects in the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). By modulating immune pathways and activating cytotoxic lymphocytes while inhibiting regulatory T cells, this therapy improves the NMIBC microenvironment and offers a potential new therapeutic strategy.

Summary: Most neurodegenerative diseases are multifactorial, and the molecular mechanisms related to their development are constantly advancing. Dopamine and dopaminergic receptor subtypes play a crucial role in the pathophysiology of various neurological disorders. Therefore, the dopaminergic system and dopamine receptor ligands are important for the treatment of these disorders.

Summary: Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons, resulting in motor and non-motor symptoms. Recent research suggests that targeting opioid and cannabinoid receptors as well as the NLRP3 pathway may provide novel therapeutic approaches for Parkinson's disease management.
