A polyoxometalate (POM)-based {(Mn2Mn6Mn4II)-Mn-IV-Mn-III} complex with single-molecule magnet (SMM) behaviour was prepared, exhibiting the largest known Mn nuclearity and the most Mn valence states in the POM-based SMM family.
