Summary: In osteosarcoma, the overexpression of SNHG9 is closely associated with cell proliferation, migration, and invasion abilities. SNHG9 interacts with miR-214-5p and SOX4, forming an important feedback loop involved in the progression of osteosarcoma.

Summary: The study revealed that circRNA circ_0001666 is highly expressed in pancreatic cancer tissues and cell lines, and its overexpression promotes cancer cell proliferation, EMT, and invasion, while knockdown of circ_0001666 has the opposite effects. Circ_0001666 functions as an oncogenic circRNA by sponging miR-1251 to upregulate SOX4 expression, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target for PC.

Summary: Recent studies have identified circSIPA1L1 as an upregulated circular RNA in osteosarcoma, which acts as a molecular sponge for miR-411-5p to increase RAB9A expression, promoting tumorigenesis. Silencing circSIPA1L1 attenuates the malignant properties of OS cells, and inhibition of miR-411-5p or overexpression of RAB9A reverses the anti-tumor effects caused by circSIPA1L1 knockdown.

Summary: This study elucidated the potential carcinogenic mechanism of LINC00467 in osteosarcoma, showing that high LINC00467 expression is associated with poor prognosis in patients. LINC00467 exerts its effects through the miR-217/KPNA4 axis in osteosarcoma.

Summary: This study revealed the involvement of a novel circECE1/miR-588/RAB3D axis in osteosarcoma (OS) progression. The expression of circECE1 was found to be higher in OS compared to normal chondroma tissues. High levels of circECE1 were positively correlated with OS cell viability, proliferation, migration, and invasion, and negatively correlated with OS cell apoptosis rate. Furthermore, the study demonstrated that circECE1 interacts with miR-588 to regulate the pathological process of OS through its target gene RAB3D. Silencing circECE1 inhibited OS tumor growth in vivo.

Summary: This study investigated the biological role and potential mechanism of miR-212-5p in ischemic stroke by exploring the lncfos/miR-212-5p/CASP7 axis. The expression level of miR-212-5p was significantly downregulated in the peri-infarct area and blood of the MCAO model rats and the blood of patients with ischemic stroke. The study concluded that miR-212-5p plays a neuroprotective role in ischemic stroke and its function is regulated by the lncfos/miR-212-5p/CASP7 axis.

Summary: The study revealed that miR-1297 can inhibit proliferation and tumor growth in osteosarcoma by directly targeting CCND2. Overexpression of miR-1297 significantly suppressed CCND2 protein expression and resulted in similar phenotypic effects as CCND2 downregulation. Therefore, miR-1297 may represent a novel therapeutic target for osteosarcoma.

Summary: The ELK1/miR-134/PTBP1 signaling cascade plays a key role in osteosarcoma chemoresistance by regulating aerobic glycolysis. This study found that PTBP1 upregulation contributes to chemoresistance in both in vitro and in vivo osteosarcoma models, while miR-134 inhibits PTBP1 translation. Additionally, ELK1 enhances chemoresistance by downregulating miR-134 and upregulating PTBP1 in DXR-resistant cells.

Summary: The expressions of miR-337-3p, miR-484, miR-582, and miR-3677 were significantly decreased in osteosarcoma patients, but increased after surgery. Lower expressions were strongly correlated with clinical stage and metastasis, affecting the survival rates and disease-free survival rates of patients.

Summary: In this study, a systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted to evaluate the prognostic and diagnostic value of miR-212 in cancer. The results showed that high levels of miR-212 were associated with poor prognosis in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), while low levels of miR-212 were associated with poor prognosis in other cancers. Additionally, miR-212 demonstrated excellent diagnostic performance and was associated with certain patient characteristics.
