Summary: This study identified the role of Sevoflurane (Sev) in intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Sev treatment attenuated ICH and hippocampal neuronal apoptosis in mice by upregulating miR-133b, which targeted FOXO4 expression and increased BCL2 expression. These findings highlight the protective effect of Sev on ICH mice through the regulation of miR-133b-mediated FOXO4 expression.

Summary: The study investigated the role of FOXA2 in pneumonia, using an in vitro model induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in WI-38 cells. FOXA2 was found to be downregulated in LPS-induced WI-38 cells. Overexpression of FOXA2 alleviated inflammation, oxidative stress, apoptosis, and endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) in LPS-induced WI-38 cells. The inhibitory effects of FOXA2 on inflammation, oxidative stress, apoptosis, and ERS were partly weakened by additional treatment with U46619.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the role of zinc oxide nanoparticles in preventing the aggregation and damage of lead in the organs of rats. The results showed that co-treatment of ZnO-NPs with lead could reduce toxicological parameters and gene expression levels, thus protecting the organs from damage.

Summary: Infection of Helicoverpa armigera single nucleopolyhedrovirus (HearNPV) can restrict the growth and development of larvae by inducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) and affecting immune responses. The transcription factor forkhead box O (FoxO) upregulates the expression of peroxiredoxin 1 (Prx1), which plays a role in regulating larval development and immunity following HearNPV infection.

Summary: Research has found that DON can induce apoptosis in intestinal epithelial cells through the FOXO3a-signaling pathway, leading to the translocation of FOXO3a into the nucleus. Inhibiting FOXO3a can alleviate apoptosis and the expression of apoptosis-related genes. Additionally, treatment with an ERK1/2 inhibitor can suppress the translocation of FOXO3a into the nucleus.

Summary: Hospital effluents containing toxic substances can cause oxidative stress and changes in gene expression in aquatic organisms. This study evaluated the effects of different proportions of hospital effluent treated by a wastewater treatment plant on the liver, gut, and gills of Danio rerio. Significant increases in oxidative stress markers and antioxidant enzyme activity were observed, and gene expression related to antioxidant processes, detoxification, and apoptosis was upregulated. Additionally, pathogenic bacterial genera were identified using a metataxonomic approach.

Summary: FOXL2 and ESR2 play key transcriptional roles in ovarian granulosa cells, with FOXL2 activating genes enriched in H3K27ac marks and capable of activating transcription through binding to enhancer sites. Depletion of either Foxl2 or Esr2 in granulosa cells leads to decreased migration, invasion, and adhesion, potentially through modulation of common targets involved in cell motility.

Summary: Mitofilin, a mitochondrial inner membrane protein, plays a critical role in maintaining mitochondrial architecture and function. Knockout or reduction of Mitofilin expression in mice enhances myocardial injury and inflammation after ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. Understanding the role of Mitofilin in I/R injury could provide insights into potential therapeutic targets for mitigating cardiac damage.
