Summary: Amphiphilic doubly responsive block copolymers were studied in aqueous solutions using VS/SANS techniques. The study revealed that hydrophobic interactions between the copolymer monomers lead to local concentration inhomogeneities, whose size depends on the preparation protocol. Hierarchical structures were observed at different pH values, and these structures change with temperature. At basic pH, aggregates transform into self-similar superstructures, which is strongly dependent on the preparation protocol.

Summary: Synthetic polymers can self-assemble into unique structures with properties determined by their nanoscale morphology. Research into 'smart' polymer assemblies that can undergo morphological transformations in response to external stimuli has been fueled by post-polymerisation modification reactions and techniques like polymerisation induced self-assembly (PISA). These transformations can modulate the properties of polymer assemblies, offering potential for creating smart materials that can dynamically adapt to changes in the environment.

Summary: The membrane structuration of Large Hybrid Unilamellar Polymer/Lipid Vesicle (LHUV) plays a crucial role in optimizing their properties and evaluating their value in various fields. This study focuses on the development of LHUV from the self-assembly of diblock poly(dimethylsiloxane)-b-poly(ethylene oxide) (PDMS-b-PEO) of different molar masses combined with 1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (POPC). Techniques such as small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) and cryo-transmission electron microscopy (cryo-TEM) were utilized to characterize the hybrid vesicles and their membrane structure, showing that the membrane permeability of LHUV is primarily controlled by the lipid/polymer composition.

Summary: Microemulsions, stable mixtures of oil, water, and surfactant, have been studied for over 70 years, but there are still unclear aspects and recent research has challenged previous understanding, including the discovery of nonclassical microemulsions. The flexibility of the amphiphilic film is considered a key property for classifying microemulsion types and properties.

Summary: Liver disease is a major cause of global mortality, and identifying biomarkers for diagnosing its progression is crucial for improving outcomes. Targeted mass spectrometry is a powerful tool for verifying biomarker candidates and clinical applications, particularly for glycoproteins translation. However, the limitation of analyzing only one sample per run has become apparent. In this study, a high-throughput intact N-glycopeptides quantification strategy was developed, allowing the validation of 20 samples per run with an average analysis time of 3 minutes per sample. The strategy was applied in a cohort of 461 serum samples and identified a panel of 10 IgG N-glycopeptides that have strong clinical utility in evaluating the severity of liver disease.
