Summary: COVID-19 has had devastating consequences for the global economy and human health. Proteomics analysis has identified serum proteins that are associated with disease severity, providing a molecular basis for clinical stratification. The protein alterations normalize after 100 days of leaving the hospital in an independent cohort, supporting their reliability as hallmarks of COVID-19 progression and grading. These findings contribute to the optimization of disease assessment and follow-up for COVID-19 patients.

Summary: This study analyzed the differential protein profiles of serum-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) between mucinous adenocarcinoma (MC) and non-mucinous adenocarcinoma (AC), and identified the key EV protein PLA2G2A associated with MC pathogenesis. Overexpression of PLA2G2A in colon cancer cell line promoted cell invasion and migration ability. PLA2G2A may serve as a prognostic predictive marker for colon cancer patients with BRAF mutations.

In this study, the largest dityrosine crosslinking dataset in E. coli to date was created, identifying 71 dityrosine crosslinks and 410 dityrosine loop links on 352 proteins. The dityrosine crosslinks are mainly involved in regulating metabolic pathways in response to oxidative stress.

This study presents 5 cases of primary hyperparathyroidism with osteitis fibrosa cystica and larger parathyroid adenomas, highlighting the critical role of vitamin D nutrition in the pathogenesis of both the disease and adenoma size.

The study showed significant differences in serum protein levels between oral cancer patients and controls, as well as before and after curative surgery.
